MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,202 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 194 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Boeing 777-300 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at MMTJ Aeropuerto Internacional Gral. Abelardo Rodriguez in Tijuana, Mexico. This process took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 09, with a takeoff distance of 925 meters, which accounted for 31% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 15°C temperature and a 2-knot headwind at 90 degrees. The enroute climb started immediately after takeoff, with the aircraft ascending from 1,495 feet above sea level to 33,344 feet above sea level, an increase of 31,849 feet in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 50 nautical miles. The climb took place over the MMTJ Aeropuerto Internacional Gral. Abelardo Rodriguez in Tijuana, Mexico.
After reaching the desired altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 7 minutes and covered a distance of 53 nautical miles. This phase began 4 miles west of Borrego Springs in California, United States. The enroute descent phase started 8 miles southeast of KTNP Twentynine Palms Airport in Twentynine Palms, California, and lasted for 30 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 33,376 feet above sea level to 3,354 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,022 feet. The descent covered a distance of 129 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26L at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, began from the east, with the aircraft heading 270.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,227 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 26L, which had a length of 3,202 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 133 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 191 meters, and the touchdown speed was 130 knots, which was also good. The touchdown rate was firm at -337 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 9°C temperature and a 0-knot headwind at 17 degrees. The total landing distance was 1,230 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 239 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 59 minutes. The aircraft used 7,243 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed on runway 26L at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport, achieving a high score of 97.9%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,227 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach to the runway was precise, with a good threshold height and a slightly below-target threshold speed of 133 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 191 meters, which is considered good. The touchdown speed of 130 knots was also within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The touchdown rate of -337 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting a stable and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 0 knots from a direction of 17°. There was no crosswind or headwind, which contributed to a smooth and stable landing. The total landing distance of 1,230 meters was 38% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft performing well in terms of speed, distance, and alignment. The high score of 97.9% reflects the pilot's skill and the aircraft's performance during the landing.
