Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,527 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,527 m of the 3,347 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 418 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A300 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Leipzig/Halle Airport, taking approximately 5 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 08R, with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 163 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 25°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at a direction of 90°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, starting approximately 1 mile south east of the airport. The climb took place from an initial altitude of 1,491 feet above sea level to a maximum altitude of 30,761 feet, an increase of 29,270 feet in just 19 minutes. This climb phase covered a distance of 92 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 27 minutes and covered a distance of 194 nautical miles. This phase took place overhead the town of Empfertshausen in Thuringia, Germany.
The aircraft then began another climb phase, this time from an altitude of 30,772 feet to 32,834 feet, an increase of 2,062 feet in just 3 minutes. This climb phase covered a distance of 24 nautical miles and took place overhead the town of Corcieux in Grand Est, France.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 503 minutes and covered a distance of 764 nautical miles. This phase took place approximately 1 mile north of the town of Raddon-et-Chapendu in Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent phase, starting approximately 3 miles south west of the town of Martos in Andalusia, Spain. The descent took place from an altitude of 32,331 feet to 14,543 feet, a decrease of 17,788 feet in just 9 minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 58 nautical miles.
Following the initial descent, the aircraft entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for just 2 minutes and covered a distance of 8 nautical miles. This phase took place approximately 1 mile west of the town of Canada Rosal in Andalusia, Spain.
The aircraft then began its final descent phase, starting approximately 4 miles north of the town of La Campana in Andalusia, Spain. The descent took place from an altitude of 13,898 feet to 1,417 feet, a decrease of 12,481 feet in just 8 minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 22 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at Sevilla Airport took place from the east, with the aircraft heading 270.0° at an altitude of 1,312 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 35°C, with a wind speed of 9 knots at a direction of 230°.
The aircraft landed safely on runway 27, with a touchdown distance of 420 meters and a touchdown speed of 135 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -312 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 1,449 meters, which was 43% of the runway length.
Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 5 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,170 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 190 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 16,645 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A300 successfully landed at LEZL Sevilla Airport, achieving a high score of 98.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,312 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, taking into account the runway's length of 3,347 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 142 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 420 meters was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 135 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a firmer touchdown rate of -312 feet per minute (fpm).
Despite the slightly faster touchdown speed, the aircraft maintained a very good runway touchdown alignment, ensuring a stable and controlled landing. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 35°C and wind speeds of 9 knots at 230°, presented a moderate headwind of 7 knots and a crosswind of 6 knots. These conditions did not significantly impact the landing, and the aircraft's performance remained satisfactory.
The total landing distance of 1,449 meters, which accounted for 43% of the runway, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration of the aircraft after touchdown. Overall, the Airbus A300's landing at LEZL Sevilla Airport was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating a high level of precision and control throughout the approach and landing phases.
