MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,853 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 289 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking to the runway, taking approximately 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 18 at EFKE Kemi-Tornio Airport in Finland. The takeoff distance was 907 meters, which accounted for 36% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 147 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 8°C and wind speeds of 5 knots at 110°. The crosswind was 5 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile north of Kemi and continued for 33 minutes, covering 226 nautical miles and increasing the altitude from 1,090 feet to 37,221 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 25 miles east of Nordingra in Sweden. This phase lasted for 114 minutes and covered 1,010 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting overhead Paray-Vieille-Poste in France. The descent from 37,930 feet to 4,031 feet took 12 minutes and covered 172 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, this time lasting only 2 minutes and covering 6 nautical miles. The descent phase resumed 1 mile west of Peschadoires, with the aircraft descending from 4,025 feet to 2,327 feet in 2 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26 at LFLC Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 262.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,231 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 289 meters and a touchdown speed of 123 knots. The touchdown rate was -153 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 12°C and wind speeds of 4 knots at 290°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,257 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,429 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 169 minutes. The aircraft used 9,060 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at LFLC Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport, demonstrating a high level of precision and control. The final approach to runway 26 was executed from the east, with the aircraft heading 262.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,231 feet above ground level (agl). This approach was characterized by a high degree of accuracy, with a score of 99.8%.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 123 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed of 130 knots. The touchdown distance of 289 meters was also well within the expected range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -153 feet per minute (fpm) was also satisfactory, suggesting that the aircraft was able to absorb the impact of landing without any issues.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 12°C and a gentle wind of 4 knots from 290°. This resulted in a minimal crosswind component of 2 knots and a headwind of 3 knots, which did not pose any significant challenges to the landing operation.
The total landing distance of 1,257 meters was 44% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the aircraft was able to maintain its direction and speed after landing.
Overall, the landing of the Boeing 737-600 at LFLC Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating a high level of precision and control throughout the approach and landing phases.
