Tidy the taxi
It is very easy to taxi too fast when your field of view is limited by the monitor and the body doesn't experience the aircraft movement. Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The real technique is to slow before the turn, then turn at steady speed, not enter fast and reduce the speed with the brakes mid-arc.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks at 305 m and 152 m above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,589 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 512 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing LIPO Brescia Gabriele d'Annunzio Airport, the Boeing 737-800 began its journey with a taxiing period of 8 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. As the aircraft reached the runway, it initiated its departure roll on runway 32, utilizing 1,191 meters, or 48% of the runway's length, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 148 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 17°C, with a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 250°, resulting in a 10-knot crosswind and a 5-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed out of LIPO Brescia Gabriele d'Annunzio Airport, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 11,184 meters above sea level, an increase of 10,751 meters from its initial altitude of 433 meters. This climb phase lasted 23 minutes and covered a distance of 125 nautical miles. The aircraft then transitioned into a level cruise, maintaining an altitude of 11,184 meters, and flew for 29 minutes, covering 213 nautical miles, before beginning its enroute descent. The descent phase saw the aircraft decrease its altitude from 11,222 meters to 6,777 meters, a decrease of 4,445 meters, in just 7 minutes, covering 54 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered a second level cruise phase, lasting only 2 minutes, before initiating its final descent.
As the aircraft approached EDDP Leipzig/Halle Airport, it began its final approach to runway 26L from the east, maintaining a heading of 266° at an altitude of 394.2 meters above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway. The aircraft landed on runway 26L, which had a length of 3,589 meters, with a touchdown point 93 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 138 knots was slightly above the target, but the touchdown rate of -1.0 meter per second was fair. The aircraft's runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 5 minutes to cover a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 487 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 89 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,611 kilograms of fuel during the journey.
The Boeing 737-800 touched down on runway 26L at EDDP Leipzig/Halle Airport with a satisfactory approach quality, despite a slightly high threshold speed of 148 kt, which exceeded the target by a considerable margin. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 394.2 meters above ground level (agl) at 4 nautical miles from the runway, aligning itself with the runway heading of 266.0°. The good threshold height allowed for a smooth transition into the landing phase.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 138 kt was slightly above the target, resulting in a touchdown rate of -1.0 m/s, which was considered fair. The touchdown point was located 93 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight over-run. However, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the landing. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 4°C and a headwind of 9 kt, contributed to a relatively smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 1,314 meters was 37% of the runway length, indicating a satisfactory rollout performance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered highly satisfactory, with a score of 98.9%.
