Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,587 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 245 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 04R at Pisa International Airport (LIRP). The takeoff distance was 1,177 meters, which was 45% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 164 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 10°C and a wind speed of 9 knots at 40°. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 9 knots. The aircraft climbed to a height of 35,894 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,866 feet from the initial altitude of 1,029 feet. This climb took 19 minutes and covered a distance of 109 nautical miles.
Once the aircraft reached cruising altitude, it began its enroute level cruise, which started 37 miles northwest of Calvi, France. This phase of the flight lasted 21 minutes and covered a distance of 162 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 91 miles northeast of Es Castell, Spain. The descent took 30 minutes and covered a distance of 155 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 35,990 feet to 1,294 feet above sea level.
The final approach to runway 24L at Palma de Mallorca Airport (LEPA) was made from the northeast, with a heading of 239.0°. The aircraft was at an altitude of 1,261 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 310°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot.
The aircraft landed on runway 24L, which had a length of 2,587 meters. The touchdown speed was 135 knots, and the touchdown distance was 243 meters. The touchdown rate was heavy at -644 feet per minute. However, the threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.3 meters.
After landing, the aircraft underwent a runway rollout alignment, which was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 10.7 meters. The total landing distance was 1,304 meters, which was 50% of the runway length. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 436 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 86 minutes. The aircraft used 3,144 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LEPA Palma de Mallorca Airport, achieving a score of 92.2%. The final approach to runway 24L was initiated from the north east, with a heading of 239.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,261 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 138 knots. The touchdown distance of 243 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 135 knots was also good. However, the touchdown rate was slightly heavy at -644 feet per minute, indicating a slightly steeper descent than ideal.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 4.3 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 310°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance of 1,304 meters was 50% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centreline by 10.7 meters, which may have been due to the same factors that caused the initial touchdown position to be off-centre.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from ideal performance. The pilots may need to review their approach and landing procedures to identify the causes of these deviations and make adjustments to improve their performance in the future.
