MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,695 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 120 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Aircraft departed from Stavanger Airport, Sola, runway 18, with a takeoff distance of 709 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 148 knots, with a headwind of 18 knots and a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. The initial climb phase began overhead Stavanger Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,022 feet to 7,253 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The flight continued with multiple enroute climbs and descents, with the aircraft reaching a maximum altitude of 15,000 feet. The climb from 499 feet to 15,000 feet, which took 7 minutes and covered 34 nautical miles, was notable for its significant altitude gain. The aircraft also experienced several level cruise phases, including an 11-minute cruise at 38 nautical miles south of Brusand and a 12-minute cruise at 67 nautical miles southeast of Skalevik. The flight eventually began its descent towards Aarhus Airport, with the final approach initiated from the west at 4 nautical miles and 1,280 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 10R at Aarhus Airport, with a touchdown distance of 121 meters and a touchdown speed of 115 knots. The touchdown rate was heavy at -615 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline. The total landing distance was 570 meters, accounting for 21% of the runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 253 nautical miles, with a flight time of 64 minutes and a fuel consumption of -1,448 kilograms.
The aircraft touched down on runway 10R at EKAH Aarhus Airport with a good threshold height, allowing for a smooth transition from the approach to the touchdown phase. The threshold speed was also well-managed, coming in at 120 kt, which is within the acceptable range for a safe landing. The touchdown distance of 121 m was also satisfactory, indicating a controlled descent.
However, the touchdown rate was slightly heavy at -615 fpm, which may have contributed to the slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position, being 3.4 m off centreline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 11 °C and a headwind of 4 kt, may have played a role in the slightly heavier touchdown rate. The aircraft's speed at touchdown was 115 kt, which is within the acceptable range for a safe landing.
The total landing distance of 570 m was 21% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.9 m from centreline, which may have been a result of the heavy touchdown rate. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with a score of 90.0%, indicating a good performance in terms of approach quality, touchdown characteristics, and rollout alignment.
