Flight Score
Departure
Make small rudder corrections against a fixed point at the far end of the runway to stay on the centreline during the ground roll.
What happened: You tracked 9.1 m right of the runway centreline during the ground roll, and this pattern of drift usually carries forward into a rightward heading deviation during the initial climb, as seen in the -1.2° variation through Climb 1.
Watch for: Heading indicator: hold runway heading through the climb.
Arrival
Add power on short final to hold speed at 70 kt, correcting the slow threshold speed before it carries through to the flare.
What happened: Threshold speed was slow at 68 kt against 70 kt, and touchdown followed short of the aim point at 147 m. Crossing the threshold slow like this usually carries the touchdown short.
Watch for: Airspeed indicator against 70 kt on short final.
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 300 ft gate: centreline 7.0° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 520 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 520 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 147 m short of the threshold. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Kodiak 100 taxied from the parking area to runway 06 at AYDM Duranmin Airstrip in 1 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 06, the aircraft used 302 m of runway, representing 58 % of the available length, and lifted off at 66 kt; ambient conditions were 25 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 333°, a cross-wind component of 1 kt and no head-wind.
Climb commenced overhead the airstrip, rising from 3,253 ft asl to 4,597 ft asl, an increase of 1,344 ft achieved in 1 minutes while traversing 2 nm.
Level cruise began 2 miles east of the airstrip, persisted for 2 minutes and covered 4 nm.
Descent started 4 miles east of the airstrip, descending from 4,606 ft asl to 2,992 ft asl, a loss of 1,615 ft in 2 minutes over a distance of 4 nm.
The final approach to runway 24 was executed from the north-east, on a heading of 240.0° at 0 nm and 113 ft agl; weather remained 25 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 333°, a cross-wind of 2 kt and no head-wind.
Landing on runway 24, which is 520 m long, was achieved with a threshold speed of 68 kt; touchdown occurred at 211 m down the runway, at 55 kt, with a firm touchdown rate of minus 395 fpm and a lateral deviation of 6.4 m from the centreline. The total landing distance recorded was 478 m, representing 92 % of the runway.
Runway rollout showed a slight alignment deviation of 10.7 m from the centreline before the aircraft came to a stop.
In total, the flight covered 11 nm, lasted 7 minutes and consumed 19 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 24 at AYDM Duranmin Airstrip was flown from the north-east on a heading of 240.0° with the aircraft at 0 nm and 113 ft agl, under temperature 25 °C, wind 2 kt from 333°, with a 2 kt cross-wind component and no head-wind.
At threshold the aircraft presented a good height and the threshold speed was good at 68 kt, indicating an appropriate energy state for the flare.
Touchdown occurred 211 m down the runway at a speed of 55 kt, both described as good, with a firm touchdown rate of minus 395 fpm; the touchdown point was slightly misaligned by 6.4 m from the centreline and the total landing distance was 478 m, representing 92 % of the 520 m runway.
During rollout the aircraft remained slightly off the centreline by 10.7 m, though the alignment stayed within acceptable limits.
To raise the 83.3 % score, focus on tighter centreline tracking during touchdown and the subsequent rollout to reduce the small lateral deviations observed.
