MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,252 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,252 m of the 3,411 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 811 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by a Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The journey began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took 19 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles (nm). The aircraft then departed from runway 05 at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport (CYYZ), with a takeoff distance of 2,060 meters, which accounted for 64% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 201 knots (kn).
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 14 kn at 19°. The crosswind component was 6 kn, while the headwind component was 12 kn. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile north of CYYZ. The climb phase involved a significant increase in altitude, from 1,560 feet above sea level (asl) to 27,205 ft asl, over a distance of 103 nm, in 17 minutes.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 130 minutes and covered a distance of 1,111 nm. This phase was followed by another climb, which started 23 miles northeast of Kimmirut Airport (CYLC) in Nunavut, Canada. The climb phase involved a relatively small increase in altitude, from 27,575 ft asl to 28,822 ft asl, over a distance of 18 nm, in 2 minutes.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 548 minutes and covered a distance of 4,329 nm. This phase was followed by a climb, which started 24 miles southwest of Saynshand in East Gobi Aymag, Mongolia. The climb phase involved a significant increase in altitude, from 29,112 ft asl to 33,054 ft asl, over a distance of 40 nm, in 4 minutes.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 97 minutes and covered a distance of 738 nm. This phase was followed by a climb, which started 27 miles east of Xinyang in Henan Sheng, China. The climb phase involved a relatively small increase in altitude, from 34,985 ft asl to 36,772 ft asl, over a distance of 15 nm, in 2 minutes.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 88 minutes and covered a distance of 609 nm. This phase was followed by a climb, which started 34 miles southeast of Sok Kwu Wan in Islands District, Hong Kong. The climb phase involved a relatively small increase in altitude, from 38,422 ft asl to 39,409 ft asl, over a distance of 18 nm, in 2 minutes.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 60 minutes and covered a distance of 482 nm. This phase was followed by a descent, which started 4 miles northwest of Iba in Central Luzon, Philippines. The descent phase involved a significant decrease in altitude, from 39,514 ft asl to 1,387 ft asl, over a distance of 72 nm, in 21 minutes.
The final approach to runway 24 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (RPLL) was made from the northeast, with a heading of 240.0° at 4 nm and 1,336 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 290 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 128 kn, which was good, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -134 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at RPLL Ninoy Aquino International Airport, with a final approach score of 89.8%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the north east, heading 240.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,336 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot successfully executed a smooth touchdown on runway 24, which has a length of 3,411 meters.
The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 137 knots. The touchdown point was 290 meters beyond the touchdown zone, but the touchdown speed of 128 knots was within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate was smooth at -134 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled descent. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 97°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and the tailwind component was 3 knots. These conditions contributed to a smooth landing.
The total landing distance was 2,066 meters, which is 61% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot executed a good approach and touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and decision-making skills. However, the slight misalignment of the touchdown position and the touchdown point being beyond the touchdown zone are areas for improvement.
