Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,698 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,698 m of the 2,431 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 624 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 15 at LIRA Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,144 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 147 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at a direction of 299°. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of Ciampino, Italy. The climb took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 77 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,433 feet above sea level to 34,320 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,887 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles southwest of Sant'Angelo d'Alife, Italy. This phase lasted for 83 minutes and covered a distance of 280 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 8 miles northeast of Corovode, Albania. The descent took 27 minutes and covered a distance of 120 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 34,213 feet above sea level to 1,397 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,816 feet.
The final approach to runway 34 at LGTS Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 346.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,370 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 34, which had a length of 2,431 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 156 knots. The touchdown point was 215 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 146 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -174 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.2 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C, with a wind speed of 13 knots at a direction of 280°. This resulted in a crosswind of 12 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. The total landing distance was 1,624 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 485 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 96 minutes. The aircraft used 4,096 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LGTS Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport, achieving a score of 95.0%. The final approach to runway 34 was initiated from the south, with the aircraft heading 346.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,370 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being satisfactory. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 156 knots, indicating a slight deviation from the optimal landing speed. The touchdown point was located 215 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed of 146 knots was a little faster than the desired speed.
The touchdown rate of -174 feet per minute was considered good, indicating a controlled descent. Nevertheless, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.2 meters from the centerline, which may have contributed to the slight deviation from the optimal landing speed.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C, with a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 280°. The crosswind component was 12 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots. These conditions may have affected the aircraft's performance during the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,624 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline, indicating a slight deviation from the optimal alignment.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 95.0%. However, there were some minor deviations from the optimal landing parameters, which may be addressed through further training and practice.
