MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Keep the approach speed on target
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,562 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 379 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving an outstanding aircraft landing score of 99.4%! Your performance during each phase of the landing process was exceptional overall, showcasing your skill and precision as a pilot.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, ensuring a smooth transition towards the runway. While your speed was slightly below the target, this minor deviation did not impact the overall quality of your approach.
Moving onto the Landing Phase, your technique was impeccable. Your threshold height was well-managed, allowing for a controlled descent towards the runway. The perfect landing flare further demonstrated your mastery of the landing process, resulting in a smooth and controlled touchdown.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was fair, indicating a solid connection with the runway. Your speed was on target, contributing to a safe and secure landing. It is worth noting that your touchdown distance fell comfortably within the touchdown zone, demonstrating a high level of accuracy in your approach. Additionally, your runway touchdown position was very good, further highlighting your precision during this critical phase.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was very good, ensuring a straight and stable rollout after landing. This attention to detail is crucial for maintaining control of the aircraft and ensuring a safe taxi to the terminal.
Overall, your performance during this landing was exemplary, and your high score reflects your dedication to excellence in aviation. Keep up the great work, and continue to strive for perfection in every aspect of your flying. Well done!
