Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 500 ft gate: no landing flap set and off the centreline.

The rest of the report
As the MH60 Sierra departed runway 09 at KLDJ Linden Airport, it accelerated down the 3,000-foot-long runway, reaching liftoff speed of 20 knots in a mere 91 feet, which accounted for just 3% of the available runway. The aircraft's performance was impressive, considering the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit and a gentle headwind of 5 knots. The wind direction was from the northwest at 29 degrees, resulting in a crosswind component of 5 knots, which the pilots skillfully managed during the takeoff roll.
Once airborne, the MH60 Sierra climbed to a safe altitude and began its short journey, navigating through the local airspace. The flight distance of 8 nautical miles was covered in just 8 minutes, a testament to the aircraft's efficiency and the pilots' expertise. The flight plan was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed back at KLDJ Linden Airport, concluding the short flight.
The flight's performance was notable for its fuel efficiency, with the MH60 Sierra using a mere 157 pounds of fuel for the entire journey. This is a remarkable achievement, considering the aircraft's capabilities and the demands of the short flight. The pilots' skill and the aircraft's design played a significant role in achieving this impressive fuel economy, making the flight a success in terms of both performance and efficiency.
MH60 Sierra conducted the final approach to New York Skyports Inc Seaplane Base, tracking from 1 nm to 1 nm at an altitude of 305 ft AGL. The overall landing score recorded was 85.0 %.
During the threshold and flare the aircraft descended from 44 ft AGL to 0 ft AGL, a decrease of 44 ft achieved in 5 seconds.
Maintain the current approach configuration while refining the vertical profile to achieve a steadier rate of descent through the flare, which will help keep the touchdown point consistently near the intended aim point.
