Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,470 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 682 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 30 at Gary Chicago International Airport, with a takeoff distance of 2,533 feet, which accounted for 47% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 150 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 62°F and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 270°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 1 knot. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead East Chicago, Indiana. The climb involved an increase in altitude from 1,635 feet above sea level to 4,686 feet, a rise of 3,051 feet, which was achieved in just 1 minute and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began overhead Burnham, Illinois, and lasted for 15 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 53 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase started 2 miles northeast of the Colonial Acres Airport in Sycamore, Illinois, and involved a decrease in altitude from 4,505 feet to 2,716 feet, a drop of 1,789 feet, which was achieved in 2 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which began 1 mile northwest of Maple Park, Illinois, and lasted for 2 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 7 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 15 at Aurora Municipal Airport was made from the northwest, with a heading of 147.0° and an altitude of 963 feet above ground level. The aircraft was 4 nautical miles from the runway at this point.
The landing on runway 15 at Aurora Municipal Airport was successful, with a touchdown distance of 687 feet, which was good. However, the touchdown speed of 109 knots was slightly above the target speed, and the touchdown rate was hard at -410 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also excellent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 270°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 1 knot. The total landing distance was 2,601 feet, which accounted for 48% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 76 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 26 minutes. Notably, the aircraft used 0 pounds of fuel during the flight.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at KARR Aurora Municipal Airport, achieving a score of 97.1%. The final approach was conducted from the northwest, heading 147.0° at 4 nautical miles and 963 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 15, which has a length of 5,470 feet.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 113 knots, which may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to flare earlier than expected. The touchdown distance of 687 feet was considered good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach and touchdown.
Despite the good touchdown distance, the touchdown speed of 109 knots was a little fast, which may have contributed to the hard touchdown rate of -410 feet per minute (fpm). A hard touchdown rate can be a concern, as it may indicate that the aircraft is touching down with too much energy, which can lead to a bumpy ride and potential damage to the aircraft.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the centerline of the runway as it touched down. This is an important aspect of landing, as it helps to ensure that the aircraft is stable and can be safely brought to a stop.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 59°F and a wind of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a very light crosswind and tailwind, which made the landing conditions ideal.
The total landing distance of 2,601 feet was 48% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's speed and the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled rollout after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 97.1%. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and rate, which may be addressed in future training or operations.
