Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,506 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 681 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, then departed from runway 26R at KLGB Long Beach Airport (Daugherty Field). The takeoff distance was 3,404 feet, which was 60% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 64°F and winds of 2 knots at 99°. The crosswind was negligible, but there was a slight tailwind of 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile north of Signal Hill, California, and the aircraft ascended from 1,088 feet above sea level to 29,067 feet above sea level, an increase of 27,979 feet, in 10 minutes and covering 48 nautical miles.
After reaching the desired altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles south of Oak Hills, California, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering 58 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 9 miles east of CN23 Harvard Airport Yermo, California, and the aircraft descended from 28,953 feet above sea level to 3,365 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,588 feet, in 20 minutes and covering 96 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26L at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport was made from the east, heading 270.0°, at 4 nautical miles and 1,240 feet above ground level. The landing was executed on runway 26L, which had a length of 10,506 feet. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 133 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 684 feet, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was good at -165 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 64°F and winds of 7 knots at 222°. The crosswind was 5 knots, and the headwind was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 3,433 feet, which was 33% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 29 feet from the centerline. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 210 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 50 minutes. The aircraft used 4,325 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-700 aircraft successfully landed at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport on runway 26L, achieving a score of 97.5%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 270.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,240 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 133 kt, which may have been due to various factors such as wind resistance or the aircraft's weight. However, the touchdown distance of 684 ft was within acceptable limits, demonstrating good control and precision during the landing. The touchdown speed of 130 kt was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -165 fpm was good, indicating a controlled and stable descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 64°F and a wind speed of 7 kt from 222°. The crosswind component was 5 kt, while the headwind component was 4 kt, which may have contributed to the slightly above-target threshold speed. The total landing distance of 3,433 ft was 33% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 29 ft from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's heading or a minor issue with the landing gear. Despite this, the overall performance of the aircraft during the landing was impressive, with a high score and a smooth touchdown.
