Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 777 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 777 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 42 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Vision Jet, then departed from runway 07C at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF), with a takeoff distance of 528 meters, which accounted for 13% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 103 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 13°C temperature and a wind speed of 7 knots at 81 degrees. The crosswind was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind was 7 knots. After departing from Frankfurt Airport, the aircraft began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport and continued for 12 minutes, covering a distance of 36 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,363 feet above sea level to 19,985 feet, an increase of 18,622 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Altrip, Germany, and lasted for 22 minutes, covering a distance of 107 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile west of Goerwihl, Germany, and continued for 12 minutes, covering a distance of 54 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 20,072 feet to 7,225 feet, a decrease of 12,847 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Muehlethurnen, Switzerland, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started overhead Boltigen, Switzerland, and continued for 4 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 7,128 feet to 3,419 feet, a decrease of 3,709 feet.
The final approach to runway 26 at Saanen Airfield (LSGK) was made from the east, with a heading of 258.0 degrees at an altitude of 99 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on the runway, which had a length of 777 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 83 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 41 meters, and the touchdown speed was 81 knots, which was slightly fast. The touchdown rate was good at -158 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 13°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 251 degrees. The crosswind was minimal at 0 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 309 meters, which accounted for 40% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The total flight distance was 223 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 63 minutes. The aircraft used 39 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at Saanen Airfield, LSGK, with an impressive score of 99.5%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 258.0° at an altitude of 99 feet above ground level (agl) and 0 nautical miles from the runway. The pilot executed a precise final approach, aligning the aircraft with the runway threshold.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was slightly above the target threshold speed, registering 83 knots. However, the touchdown distance was well within acceptable limits at 41 meters. The touchdown speed of 81 knots was slightly faster than desired, but the touchdown rate of -158 feet per minute (fpm) was satisfactory. The runway touchdown alignment was excellent, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 13°C and a gentle headwind of 3 knots from 251°. The crosswind component was negligible, at 0 knots. The total landing distance of 309 meters was 40% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The post-landing rollout was flawless, with the aircraft maintaining perfect alignment with the runway. This suggests that the pilot had excellent control over the aircraft during the landing phase and was able to smoothly transition from touchdown to rollout. Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at Saanen Airfield was a textbook example of precision and control, with the pilot executing a nearly flawless approach and landing.
