MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,678 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 500 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 13 at SLUY Uyuni Joya Andina Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,186 meters, which is 30% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 77 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 16°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 5 miles southeast of Uyuni, Bolivia. It climbed from an altitude of 13,621 feet above sea level to 14,899 feet, an increase of 1,278 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 13 miles southeast of Uyuni and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 19 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time starting 7 miles northeast of SLCS Cerdas Airport Nor Lipez, Bolivia. It climbed from an altitude of 15,608 feet to 16,288 feet, an increase of 680 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 18 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northeast of Santa Barbara, Bolivia, and lasted for 18 minutes, covering a distance of 46 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 19 miles east of SLTZ Tupiza-Mochará Airport Sud Chichas, Bolivia. It descended from an altitude of 16,228 feet to 7,330 feet, a decrease of 8,898 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 32 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 13 at SLTJ Capitan Oriel Lea Plaza Airport was made from the northwest, heading 125.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,248 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 13, which has a length of 2,678 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 74 knots.
The touchdown point was 66 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 69 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -253 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 675 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 135 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 34 minutes. The aircraft used 104 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at SLTJ Capitan Oriel Lea Plaza Airport, achieving a score of 99.5%. The final approach was conducted from the north-west, heading 125.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,248 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach to the runway was precise, with a good threshold height and a well-above-target threshold speed of 74 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 66 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. However, the touchdown speed of 69 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown rate of -253 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft's descent was not excessively steep.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a light wind of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 1 knot, which had a minimal impact on the landing.
The total landing distance of 675 meters was 25% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft's wheels remained aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and precision during the approach and touchdown phases.
