Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,880 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 451 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A319 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Kerry Airport, taking 15 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 26, with a takeoff distance of 926 meters, which was 47% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 141 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 8°C temperature and a wind speed of 10 knots at 229 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, while the headwind was 9 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Kerry Airport, Killarney, and continued to an altitude of 11,082 feet above sea level, an increase of 9,951 feet in just 4 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began overhead Abbeyfeale Airfield, Abbeyfeale, and lasted for 18 minutes, covering a distance of 105 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent from an altitude of 10,708 feet above sea level to 3,363 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,345 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 61 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise resumed 8 miles southwest of Dungiven, lasting for 3 minutes and covering 14 nautical miles. The descent started 5 miles northwest of Garvagh, with the aircraft descending from 3,358 feet above sea level to 2,404 feet above sea level, a decrease of 954 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final enroute level cruise began 3 miles southwest of Castlerock, lasting for 3 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 26 at City of Derry Airport, heading 253.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,267 feet above ground level.
The landing took place on runway 26, which had a length of 1,880 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was above the target at 137 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 452 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -326 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 24.2 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 10°C temperature and a wind speed of 29 knots at 200 degrees. The crosswind was 23 knots, while the headwind was 17 knots. The total landing distance was 1,362 meters, which was 72% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 24.3 meters from the centreline.
The flight concluded with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, taking 13 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 214 nautical miles, taking a total of 55 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,196 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed at EGAE City of Derry Airport, but with some notable deviations from the ideal landing performance. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 253.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,267 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 26, which has a length of 1,880 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was significantly above the target speed of 137 knots. This may indicate that the pilot may have been experiencing some difficulty in controlling the aircraft's descent rate or may have been trying to maintain a higher speed to compensate for any crosswind or other factors. The touchdown distance of 452 meters was considered good, but the touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly faster than ideal.
The touchdown rate of -326 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, indicating that the aircraft was touching down with a relatively high rate of descent. This may be a result of the pilot's attempt to maintain a higher speed or to compensate for any crosswind. The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 24.2 meters from the centerline, which may indicate that the pilot was experiencing some difficulty in aligning the aircraft with the runway or may have been trying to compensate for a crosswind.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 29 knots from 200°. This resulted in a crosswind of 23 knots and a headwind of 17 knots. The total landing distance of 1,362 meters was 72% of the runway length, which is within the acceptable range.
However, the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 24.3 meters from the centerline, which may indicate that the pilot was experiencing some difficulty in controlling the aircraft's roll rate or may have been trying to compensate for a crosswind. Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some notable deviations from the ideal landing performance, which may indicate that the pilot could benefit from additional training or practice to improve their skills.
