MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,305 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 227 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Embraer E170, then departed from runway 34 at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (UNNT) in Russia. The takeoff distance was 906 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 145 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of -12°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 280°.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it started its enroute climb from an altitude of 1,342 feet above sea level (asl) to 26,601 ft asl, an increase of 25,259 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 69 nautical miles. The climb started overhead Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, which lasted for 7 minutes and covered 47 nautical miles, starting 29 miles northwest of Zalesovo, Russia.
The enroute descent started 10 miles southwest of Zarinsk, Russia, and the aircraft descended from 26,636 ft asl to 7,328 ft asl, a decrease of 19,309 feet in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 52 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which lasted for 3 minutes and covered 17 nautical miles, starting 9 miles north of Shubenka, Russia. The enroute descent started 2 miles north of Biysk Airport, Russia, and the aircraft descended from 7,327 ft asl to 4,010 ft asl, a decrease of 3,317 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 15 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which lasted for 5 minutes and covered 18 nautical miles, starting 8 miles east of Sovetskoye, Russia. The enroute descent started 1 mile northeast of Platovo, Russia, and the aircraft descended from 3,419 ft asl to 2,105 ft asl, a decrease of 1,313 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 20 at Gorno-Altaysk Airport (UNBG) was made from the northeast, heading 205.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,122 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was made on runway 20, which has a length of 2,305 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was well above the target at 119 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 226 meters, but the touchdown speed at 112 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -368 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 15.5 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of -3°C, with a wind speed of 16 knots at 273°. The crosswind was 14 knots, and the headwind was 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,137 meters, which is 49% of the runway length. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 230 nautical miles, and the flight took 55 minutes, using 1,204 kilograms of fuel.
The Embraer E170 aircraft successfully landed at UNBG Gorno-Altaysk Airport, achieving a score of 93.0%. The final approach to runway 20 was initiated from the north east, heading 205.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,122 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 112 kt, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown distance of 226 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate of -368 feet per minute was firm, suggesting a relatively steep descent.
The landing was performed in a local weather condition of -3°C temperature and a wind speed of 16 kt from 273°. The crosswind component was 14 kt, while the headwind component was 6 kt. The aircraft's alignment with the runway centerline was slightly off at touchdown, with a deviation of 3.4 meters.
The total landing distance of 1,137 meters was 49% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 15.5 meters from the centerline, suggesting a slight deviation during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a good touchdown distance and a relatively short landing distance. However, there were some minor deviations in terms of touchdown speed, touchdown rate, and runway rollout alignment.
