Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,707 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,707 m of the 3,297 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 366 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 27R at London Heathrow Airport (EGLL). The takeoff distance was 1,468 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 158 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 300 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 11 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead Harmondsworth in Greater London, England. The climb took 18 minutes and covered a distance of 105 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,095 feet above sea level to 33,350 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,255 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 8 miles north of Grand-Fort-Philippe in Hauts-de-France, France. This cruise phase lasted for 68 minutes and covered a distance of 491 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 5 miles northeast of Innervillgraten in Tirol, Austria. The descent took 18 minutes and covered a distance of 106 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 34,525 feet above sea level to 3,984 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,541 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 1 mile south of Dolsko in Dol pri Ljubljani, Slovenia. This cruise phase lasted for only 3 minutes and covered a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 30 at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJLJ), which was located to the southeast. The aircraft was heading 306.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,243 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 30 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 137 knots, which was slightly faster than the target speed. The touchdown distance was 368 meters, which was within the acceptable range. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 5.3 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 290 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,630 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took only 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 721 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 118 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 4,886 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, achieving a score of 97.7%. The final approach to runway 30 was initiated from the south east, with the aircraft heading 306.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,243 feet above ground level.
The landing was executed on runway 30, which has a length of 3,297 meters. The threshold height at 56 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, indicating a minor deviation in the aircraft's descent. However, the threshold speed of 143 knots was within the acceptable range, demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft's speed during the approach.
The touchdown distance of 368 meters was considered good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed of 137 knots was slightly faster than the target, which may have resulted in a firmer touchdown rate. The touchdown rate of -313 feet per minute was firm, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight bounce or jolt upon touchdown.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.3 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a minor deviation in the aircraft's alignment during the approach. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots from 290°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 3 knots, which may have contributed to the aircraft's alignment issues.
The total landing distance of 1,630 meters was 49% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled descent throughout the landing. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled roll-out after touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 97.7%.
