Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,209 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 428 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Nantes Atlantique Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 21, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,303 meters, which was 48% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 151 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 3°C temperature and winds of 9 knots at 182 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, while the headwind was 8 knots. The enroute climb began 1 mile west of Pont-Saint-Martin in the Pays de la Loire region of France, where the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,078 feet above sea level to 35,578 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,501 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 165 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started overhead Vars-sur-Roseix in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France and lasted for 69 minutes, covering a distance of 554 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 47 miles southeast of Chia in the Sardegna region of Italy, descending from 35,727 feet above sea level to 2,427 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,300 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 98 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started again 2 miles west of La Mohammedia in the Gouvernorat de Tunis region of Tunisia and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 01 at Tunis Carthage International Airport took place from the south, with the aircraft heading at 12.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 01 took place with a runway length of 3,209 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 138 knots, while the touchdown distance was good at 430 meters. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 132 knots, and the touchdown rate was good at -193 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.6 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 12°C temperature and winds of 21 knots at 300 degrees. The crosswind was 20 knots, while the headwind was 6 knots. The total landing distance was 1,425 meters, which was 44% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centerline. Taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 833 nautical miles, taking 125 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,749 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at DTTA Tunis Carthage International Airport, achieving a score of 96.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 12.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with good control, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 01, which has a length of 3,209 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was maintained at 138 knots, which is within the recommended range. The touchdown distance was also good, measuring 430 meters. However, the touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly higher than the recommended speed, indicating that the pilots may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown.
The touchdown rate of -193 feet per minute (fpm) was good, indicating that the aircraft was able to absorb the impact of touchdown without excessive deceleration. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 6.6 meters, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilots' alignment during the final approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 21 knots from a direction of 300°. The crosswind component was 20 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots. These conditions may have presented some challenges for the pilots, but they were able to manage the aircraft effectively to achieve a safe landing.
The total landing distance was 1,425 meters, which is 44% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilots were able to control the aircraft effectively during the final approach and touchdown. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 9.3 meters, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilots' alignment during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilots demonstrated good control and management of the aircraft during the final approach and touchdown. However, there were some minor deviations in the alignment and speed, which may be addressed through further training and practice.
