MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,144 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 570 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-600 began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway at BIAR Akureyri, which took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nm. The departure roll on runway 01 was successful, with a takeoff distance of 831m, constituting 31% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 144 kn, and the local weather indicated a temperature of -0°C with a wind speed of 2 kn at 150°, resulting in a crosswind of 1 kn and a tailwind of 2 kn.
The enroute climb commenced overhead Akureyri (Nordurland Eystra, Iceland), with the aircraft climbing from 1,023 ft asl to 40,215 ft asl, covering 235 nm in 35 minutes and achieving an altitude increase of 39,191 ft. The subsequent level cruise phase began 84 miles southwest of Hellissandur (Vesturland, Iceland) and lasted 127 minutes, covering a distance of 1,472 nm.
The descent phase started 40 miles northeast of CYGR Iles-De-La-Madeleine Iles-De-La-Madeleine (Quebec, Canada), with the aircraft descending from 40,537 ft asl to 15,718 ft asl over a period of 7 minutes, covering 87 nm. Following a brief level cruise segment lasting 11 minutes and covering less than 1 nm, the descent phase was initiated again 24 miles north of CCA3 Cable Head Airpark (Prince Edward Island, Canada), with the aircraft descending from 15,718 ft asl to 1,816 ft asl in 8 minutes and covering 30 nm.
The landing was executed on runway 21 at CYYG Charlottetown, with a runway length of 2,144 m. The aircraft approached the runway at a height of 37 ft agl, a speed of 132 kn, and landed 569 m from the threshold at a speed of 124 kn with a VSI of -210 ft/m. The local weather at the time of landing indicated a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 10 kn at 228°, resulting in a crosswind of 6 kn and a headwind of 8 kn. The total landing distance was 1,013 m, accounting for 47% of the runway length.
Finally, the taxi from the runway to the parking area took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nm, concluding the flight which covered a total distance of 1,838 nm in 197 minutes and consumed 10,184 kg of fuel.
