Keep the taxi smooth
Turn speed is limited by lateral load on the tyres and the people in the back, and lateral acceleration goes with the square of speed. On an illustrative 25 m turn radius, 10 kt produces about 0.11 g of side load, while 20 kt produces about 0.43 g. Doubling the speed quadruples the load. That square law is the entire content of the "10 knots in turns" rule, and it tells you why a slightly-too-fast turn feels fine and a moderately-too-fast one throws the cabin crew across the galley.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,952 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 278 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-700 taxied from the parking area to the departure runway in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
On runway 23 at LFBD Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport the aircraft commenced its departure roll, achieving a takeoff distance of 1,076 m (35 % of the runway) and a liftoff speed of 145 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 27 °C, wind 8 kt from 260°, with a 5 kt crosswind component and a 7 kt headwind.
Climb began overhead the departure airport, with the airplane ascending from 1,105 ft asl to 41,008 ft asl, an increase of 39,902 ft achieved in 47 minutes while covering 384 nm.
The first level cruise segment started 2 mi north-east of Saint-Hilaire-sur-Helpe and lasted 80 minutes, during which 714 nm were flown.
Descent commenced 3 mi south-east of AEppelbo, the aircraft descending from 40,609 ft asl to 3,086 ft asl, a loss of 37,523 ft in 20 minutes and covering 164 nm.
A second cruise phase began 8 mi north of Indal, lasting 2 minutes and spanning 7 nm.
The subsequent descent started 8 mi north-east of Indal, with altitude decreasing from 2,994 ft asl to 1,402 ft asl, a reduction of 1,592 ft in 2 minutes over 5 nm.
Final approach to runway 16 at ESNN Sundsvall-Härnösand Airport was executed from the north, on a heading of 160.0° at 4 nm and 1,375 ft agl.
Landing on runway 16, which is 1,952 m long, was performed with a threshold speed of 130 kt, touchdown occurring 277 m down the runway at 122 kt and a touchdown rate of minus 186 fpm. Local weather reported a temperature of 14 °C, wind 1 kt from 0°, with a 0 kt crosswind and a 1 kt tailwind.
The total landing distance recorded was 685 m (35 % of the runway) and the rollout alignment was noted as perfect.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered 1,280 nm, took 155 (units as given), and consumed 6,744 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-700 entered the final approach to runway 16 at ESNN Sundsvall-Härnösand Airport from the north on a heading of 160.0° at 4 nm and 1,375 ft agl. At the 1,000 ft gate the approach was assessed as stabilised, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, and the local weather was 14 °C with a 1 kt wind from 0°, crosswind 0 kt and tailwind 1 kt.
During the threshold and flare phase the threshold speed was good at 130 kt, the touchdown distance was good at 277 m, and the aircraft flared to a touchdown speed of 122 kt that was good. The touchdown rate was good at minus 186 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with a good threshold height.
The touchdown itself occurred 277 m down the runway at a speed of 122 kt, a rate of minus 186 fpm, and the aircraft remained perfectly aligned with the centreline, confirming the earlier assessments of a well-executed flare and touchdown.
Rollout continued with a total landing distance of 685 m, representing 35 % of the 1,952 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With a final score of 99.5 % the landing was exemplary; maintaining the current approach stability and precise alignment will preserve this high performance, while continued attention to the slight 1 kt tailwind will ensure consistent touchdown points near the 300 m aim point.
