Keep the taxi smooth
See Departure Taxi
Turn speed is limited by lateral load on the tyres and the people in the back, and lateral acceleration goes with the square of speed. On an illustrative 25 m turn radius, 10 kt produces about 0.11 g of side load, while 20 kt produces about 0.43 g. Doubling the speed quadruples the load. That square law is the entire content of the "10 knots in turns" rule, and it tells you why a slightly-too-fast turn feels fine and a moderately-too-fast one throws the cabin crew across the galley.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,814 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 485 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight departed from Inverness Airport (EGPE) on runway 23, with a takeoff distance of 889 meters, which accounted for 49% of the available runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 117 knots, with a local temperature of 17°C and a negligible headwind of 1 knot from a direction of 269°. Taxiing from the parking area to the runway took less than a minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb 1 mile northwest of Croy, Scotland, at an altitude of 1,022 feet above sea level. The climb was steep, with an increase of 1,491 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then leveled off at an altitude of 2,513 feet, remaining at this height for 5 minutes as it cruised over Balloch, Scotland, covering a distance of 18 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 2 miles southwest of Inverness, with the aircraft descending from 2,673 feet to 1,542 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 05 at EGPE was made from the southwest, with the aircraft heading 50.0° at an altitude of 1,482 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the threshold. The landing was smooth, with a touchdown speed of 101 knots and a touchdown rate of -128 feet per minute. The touchdown point was 58 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The total landing distance was 974 meters, accounting for 54% of the available runway length. The aircraft then rolled out on the runway, maintaining perfect alignment. The total flight distance was 31 nautical miles, taking 13 minutes, and the aircraft used 68 kilograms of fuel.
The aircraft, FFX P180, successfully executed a final approach to runway 05 at EGPE Inverness Airport from the south west, aligning with the runway at a heading of 50.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,482 feet above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 119 knots. As the aircraft descended onto the runway, it touched down 58 meters beyond the touchdown zone, at a speed of 101 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth, at -128 feet per minute, indicating a well-controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft maintained perfect runway touchdown alignment, with the nose wheel remaining centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 16°C and a wind of 1 knot at 270°, contributed to a relatively calm landing environment. The crosswind and tailwind components were minimal, at 1 knot each, further facilitating a stable touchdown. The aircraft's ability to maintain alignment during the rollout phase was equally impressive, with perfect runway rollout alignment achieved.
The total landing distance covered by the aircraft was 974 meters, representing 54% of the runway length. This performance is indicative of a well-executed landing, with the aircraft demonstrating excellent control and precision throughout the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases. Overall, the landing was scored at 99.9%, reflecting the high level of proficiency displayed by the crew.
