Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,172 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,006 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 35R at LTFM İstanbul Airport. The takeoff distance was 5,537 feet, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 164 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 45°F and a wind speed of 20 knots at 80°. The crosswind component was 20 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile northwest of LTFM İstanbul Airport, Arnavutköy, and ascended from an altitude of 1,341 feet above sea level to 34,162 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,821 feet, in 19 minutes and covering a distance of 112 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 6 miles northeast of LB18 Tenevo Airstrip, Tenevo, and lasted for 136 minutes, covering a distance of 1,075 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent overhead Le Sequestre, Occitanie, France, and descended from an altitude of 35,156 feet above sea level to 1,457 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,699 feet, in 29 minutes and covering a distance of 131 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23 at LFBD Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport was made from the northeast, heading 225.0°, at an altitude of 1,293 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 129 knots and a touchdown distance of 1,007 feet, which was 26% of the runway length. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 feet from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 48°F and a wind speed of 2 knots at 270°. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,327 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 197 minutes. The aircraft used 19,237 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LFBD Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport, with a final approach score of 99.3%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the north east, heading 225.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,293 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a critical aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was recorded at 136 knots, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance was also good, measuring 1,007 feet, and the touchdown speed was 129 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. However, the touchdown rate was fair, at -223 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slight loss of altitude during the landing process.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 feet from the centreline, which may require some adjustments to the pilot's approach and landing technique. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 48°F and a light wind of 2 knots at 270°. The crosswind and headwind components were minimal, at 1 knot each, which further contributed to a smooth landing.
The total landing distance was 2,612 feet, which is 26% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing process and was able to align the aircraft with the runway centreline.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and technique. However, the slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position and the fair touchdown rate may require some attention and improvement in future landings.
