MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 2,032 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,032 m of the 2,846 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 648 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777F, then departed from runway 26R at Charles de Gaulle International Airport (LFPG) in Paris, France. The takeoff distance was 1,438 meters, which is 40% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 176 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 8 knots at 320°. The crosswind was 7 knots, and the headwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb started overhead the airport, and the aircraft climbed from 1,382 feet above sea level to 29,727 feet, an increase of 28,345 feet in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 81 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started overhead Le Quesnoy-en-Artois, France, and lasted for 90 minutes, covering a distance of 653 nautical miles. The aircraft then underwent another enroute climb, this time from 30,291 feet to 31,274 feet, an increase of 983 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started at a new location and lasted for 186 minutes, covering a distance of 1,409 nautical miles.
The flight continued with another enroute climb, this time from 30,790 feet to 31,381 feet, an increase of 591 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 13 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started at a new location and lasted for 149 minutes, covering a distance of 1,123 nautical miles. The aircraft then underwent another enroute climb, this time from 32,877 feet to 36,279 feet, an increase of 3,402 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 26 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started at a new location and lasted for 78 minutes, covering a distance of 557 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 9 miles south of Sedalia, Kentucky, and the aircraft descended from 36,232 feet to 3,004 feet, a decrease of 33,228 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 121 nautical miles.
The flight continued with another enroute descent, this time from 2,989 feet to 1,618 feet, a decrease of 1,371 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 36L at Memphis International Airport (KMEM) was from the south, heading 359.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,318 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 36L was successful, with a touchdown point 227 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 143 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was fair at -253 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions were 19°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 50°.
The total landing distance was 1,946 meters, which is 68% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 4,019 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 568 minutes. The aircraft used 75,718 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777F aircraft successfully landed at Memphis International Airport (KMEM) on runway 36L, achieving a score of 93.7%. The final approach was initiated from the south, heading 359.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,318 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a steady course, aligning perfectly with the runway during the approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 147 kt. However, the touchdown speed of 143 kt was within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown point was located 227 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 19°C and a gentle wind of 2 kt at 50°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 kt, while the headwind component was 1 kt. These conditions contributed to a relatively smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 1,946 meters was 68% of the available runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, allowing for a controlled deceleration.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and touchdown phases. The minor deviations in threshold speed and touchdown point location did not significantly impact the overall performance, resulting in a high score of 93.7%.
