Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 12,012 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,317 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report

Final approach to runway 34R at KDEN Denver International Airport involved a descent from 1,421 ft agl to 102 ft agl in 123 seconds, and the aircraft scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 34R, which is 12,012 ft long, recorded a threshold height at 57 ft agl slightly above target and a threshold speed of 73 kt, a little below target.
Touchdown occurred at 1,312 ft with a speed of 62 kt and a descent rate of minus 162 fpm; runway touchdown alignment was very good. Local weather at landing was Temperature 70 °F, Wind 11 kt at 130 °, with an 8 kt crosswind and a 7 kt tailwind. Total landing distance was 3,022 ft (25 % of runway) and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area, a taxi-in that took 10 minutes and covered 2 nm.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 444 nm, took 108 minutes, and consumed 669 lbs of fuel.
The final approach to runway 34R at KDEN Denver International Airport was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits. The aircraft descended from 1,421 ft agl to 102 ft agl in 123 seconds and received scores on the stabilisation gates.
At the threshold the height of 57 ft agl was slightly above target and the threshold speed was a little below target at 73 kt.
Touchdown occurred 1,312 ft down the 12,012-ft runway at a speed of 62 kt, a vertical rate of minus 162 fpm and very good runway-touchdown alignment. The total landing distance was 3,022 ft, representing 25 % of the runway length.
Rollout alignment was perfect throughout the remaining distance.
Fine-tune the flare to bring threshold height and speed precisely onto target while preserving the excellent alignment and touchdown performance demonstrated.
