Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 883 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 883 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 106 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Saint Barthélemy - Rémy de Haenen Airport took approximately 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll commenced on runway 10, with the aircraft taking off in a distance of 218 meters, which accounted for 34% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was achieved at 68 knots. Local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 29°C, with a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 100°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and an 11-knot headwind.
The enroute climb phase began overhead Gustavia / Saint-Jean, Guadeloupe, where the aircraft ascended from an initial altitude of 296 feet above sea level to 5,094 feet, an increase of 4,798 feet in just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. Following this, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, lasting 14 minutes and covering 42 nautical miles, before initiating a descent phase 14 miles west of Codrington, Antigua and Barbuda. The descent from 4,973 feet to 2,053 feet, a decrease of 2,921 feet, was completed in 3 minutes, covering 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered a brief level cruise phase, lasting 3 minutes and covering 9 nautical miles, before commencing a final descent phase 2 miles west of Cocoa Point Barbuda. The aircraft landed on runway 13 at Coco Point Lodge Airstrip, with a touchdown distance of 84 meters and a touchdown speed of 62 knots, achieving an excellent touchdown rate of -85 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing featured a temperature of 27°C, with a wind speed of 14 knots from a direction of 94°, resulting in a 6-knot crosswind and a 12-knot headwind. The total landing distance was 331 meters, accounting for 38% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned from the centreline, by 10.0 meters. The total flight distance was 73 nautical miles, with a flight duration of 30 minutes and a fuel consumption of 85 kilograms.
The final approach to runway 13 at TAPT Coco Point Lodge Airstrip was conducted from the north west, heading 120.0° at 1 nm and 453 ft above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height and threshold speed of 66 kt. The aircraft maintained a steady descent, touching down at a speed of 62 kt, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 84 m was also within the expected parameters, and the touchdown rate of -85 fpm was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled touchdown.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's centreline alignment was slightly off, with a deviation of 10.3 m from the centreline. This deviation was also observed during the rollout phase, where the aircraft was 10.0 m off-centreline. Despite these minor deviations, the overall landing distance of 331 m was 38% of the runway length, indicating a controlled and efficient rollout. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 27 °C and a wind of 14 kt at 94°, contributed to a crosswind of 6 kt and a headwind of 12 kt.
The overall performance of the landing was satisfactory, with a score of 95.5%. The pilot's ability to maintain a steady descent and control the aircraft during touchdown and rollout phases was evident, despite the minor deviations from the centreline. The landing was completed safely and efficiently, with the aircraft coming to a stop within a reasonable distance from the threshold.
