Fixing the bounce
Fast at the threshold, normal flare, and the runway seems to refuse the aircraft. The instinctive fix - pushing it on - causes the next one. A fast aircraft forced onto the runway touches nosewheel-first or nearly so. The tell is a touchdown that feels soft followed by a bounce that steepens. Pilots fix the bounce recovery; the cause was the 10 knots at the threshold.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,158 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,158 ft of the 11,026 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,611 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-800 taxied from the parking area to runway 30 at LFOB Paris-Beauvais Airport in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nm.
The aircraft commenced its departure roll on runway 30, achieving a takeoff distance of 4,152 ft (52 % of the runway) and lifting off at 156 kt; ambient conditions were 76 °F with a wind of 8 kt from 280°, including a 3 kt cross-wind component and an 8 kt head-wind.
Climb began over Tille (Hauts-de-France, France), with the airplane ascending from 1,270 ft asl to 32,995 ft asl-a gain of 31,724 ft-over 21 minutes while traversing 142 nm.
Cruise was established one mile southeast of Laval (Pays de la Loire, France) and persisted for 75 minutes, during which the flight covered 592 nm at level altitude.
Descent was initiated seven miles west of Saceruela (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain), descending from 33,001 ft asl to 1,384 ft asl, a loss of 31,617 ft in 20 minutes and spanning 106 nm.
The final approach to runway 27 at LEZL Sevilla Airport reduced altitude from 1,291 ft agl to 47 ft agl in 110 seconds, and the aircraft scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 27, which is 11,026 ft long, was executed with a threshold speed of 138 kt; touchdown occurred 238 ft beyond the touchdown zone at 127 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 182 fpm and very good alignment, while local weather reported 72 °F and a wind of 8 kt from 280° (2 kt cross-wind, 8 kt head-wind).
The rollout distance measured 4,885 ft, representing 44 % of the runway, and alignment during rollout was noted as very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 849 nm, lasted 131 minutes, and consumed 13,063 lb of fuel.
The Boeing 737-800 approached runway 27 at LEZL Sevilla Airport in a stabilised configuration, with gear down, flaps selected, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits at the 1,000 ft gate. The aircraft descended from 1,291 ft AGL to 47 ft AGL over 110 seconds, scoring on the stabilisation gates, while the ambient temperature was 72 °F, wind 8 kt from 280°, with a 2 kt cross-wind component and an 8 kt head-wind.
At threshold the height was reported as good and the threshold speed was good at 138 kt. The aircraft crossed the runway threshold and, after flare, touched down 238 ft beyond the designated touchdown zone. Touchdown speed was good at 127 kt, the vertical rate was good at minus 182 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The touchdown phase therefore occurred 238 ft beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 127 kt and a descent rate of minus 182 fpm, maintaining very good alignment with the runway centreline.
During rollout the aircraft travelled a total landing distance of 4,885 ft, representing 44 % of the 11,026 ft runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
With a score of 98.0 % the landing was excellent; refining the flare to achieve touchdown nearer the touchdown zone will further optimise runway usage and maintain the high performance demonstrated.
