Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,112 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 571 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Beechcraft Duke taxied from its parking position to runway 28R at KPBI Palm Beach International Airport in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm during the taxi-out.
During the departure roll on runway 28R, the aircraft used 914 m of runway, representing 33 % of the available length, and lifted off at 99 kt; ambient temperature was 27 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 340°, a 3 kt crosswind component and a 1 kt headwind.
The en-route climb commenced over Gun Club Estates, Florida, with the aircraft climbing from 413 ft asl to 111 ft asl, an increase of 302 ft achieved in 1 minutes while covering 1 nm.
For the arrival, the Duke landed on runway 14 at KPBI, whose length is 2,112 m; the threshold speed was 90 kt. Touchdown occurred 207 m beyond the touchdown zone at 78 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 91 fpm and a very good alignment. Local conditions were 15 °C, wind 3 kt from 270°, a 2 kt crosswind and a 2 kt tailwind.
The runway rollout extended 942 m, equal to 45 % of the runway, and the aircraft maintained perfect alignment throughout the rollout.
In total, the flight covered 3 nm, required 4 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 10 kg of fuel.
The Beechcraft Duke approached runway 14 at KPBI in 15 °C conditions with a wind of 3 kt from 270°, a 2 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt tail-wind component.
A good threshold height was established and the aircraft reduced to the good threshold speed of 90 kt before commencing the flare.
Touchdown occurred 207 m beyond the designated touchdown zone at a good speed of 78 kt, with an excellent vertical rate of minus 91 fpm and a very good runway alignment.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 942 m, representing 45 % of the 2 112 m runway, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With a score of 97.3 % the landing was strong; the primary refinement is to achieve touchdown nearer the aim point, roughly 300 m (1 000 ft) from the threshold, to further optimise the landing distance.
