Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,423 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,423 ft of the 8,263 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 857 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 30 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a FNX320_TCACFM, then departed from runway 05 at the Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport, SKBQ. The takeoff distance was 3,939 feet, which was 40% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 157 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 86°F, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 20°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 6 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile northeast of Soledad, Departamento del Atlantico, Colombia, and climbed from 1,008 feet above sea level to 2,784 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,777 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 17 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 15 miles north of Barranquilla, Departamento del Atlantico, Colombia, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 3 miles southeast of Orotina, Provincia de Alajuela, Costa Rica, and descended from 8,115 feet above sea level to 5,697 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,418 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 19 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 5 miles east of Naranjo, Provincia de Alajuela, Costa Rica, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 07 at MROC Juan Santamaría International Airport from the southwest, heading 69.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,230 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 07 at MROC Juan Santamaría International Airport was successful, with a touchdown distance of 861 feet and a touchdown speed of 126 knots. The touchdown rate was very hard at -541 feet per minute, but the runway
The aircraft, FNX320_TCACFM, successfully landed at MROC Juan Santamaría International Airport, achieving a score of 96.5%. The final approach to runway 07 was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 69.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,230 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing safely on the runway.
The landing was executed with a good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway. The threshold speed of 129 knots was also within acceptable limits, suggesting that the pilot maintained a safe and controlled approach. The touchdown distance of 861 feet was also good, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down within a reasonable distance from the threshold.
However, the touchdown rate of -541 feet per minute (fpm) was considered very hard, which may indicate that the pilot could have applied a smoother touchdown. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway at the moment of touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 73°F and a wind speed of 3 knots at 90°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 3 knots, which may have contributed to the smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 5,168 feet was 63% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and precision during the approach and landing phases. However, the very hard touchdown rate may indicate an area for improvement in terms of pilot technique.
