Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,201 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,201 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 334 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 13 at LZIB M. R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava, Slovakia. The takeoff distance was 551 meters, which accounted for 19% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 96 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 3°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 101 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead LZIB M. R. Štefánik Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 848 feet above sea level to 2,515 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,667 feet, in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The climb was followed by a brief enroute level cruise, which started 2 miles north-east of Ivanka pri Dunaji and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 4 miles south-east of LZDV Dubová Airstrip. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 3,003 feet above sea level to 2,064 feet above sea level, a decrease of 940 feet, in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. Following the descent, the aircraft entered another enroute level cruise, which started 1 mile south-west of Trnava and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32 at LZTR Trnava Airfield was made from the south-east, heading 320.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,189 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 32, which had a length of 1,201 meters. The threshold height at 75 feet above ground level was well above the target, and the threshold speed was also well above the target at 94 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 333 meters, and the touchdown speed was 67 knots, which was also good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -220 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 0°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 113 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, and there was a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 548 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.3 meters from the centreline. The total flight distance was 26 nautical miles, and the flight took 15 minutes to complete. The aircraft used a total of -169 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at LZTR Trnava Airfield, achieving an overall score of 86.6%. The final approach was conducted from the south east, heading 320.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,189 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on runway 32, which has a length of 1,201 meters.
The threshold height at 75 feet agl was significantly above the target, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a safe altitude during the approach. However, the threshold speed was well above the target at 94 knots, suggesting that the aircraft may have been able to slow down more efficiently. The touchdown distance of 333 meters was considered good, and the touchdown speed of 67 knots was also within acceptable limits.
The touchdown rate of -220 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, indicating that the aircraft may have experienced a slight loss of altitude during the touchdown. Nevertheless, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 3 knots from 113°.
The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the tailwind component was 2 knots. These conditions were favorable for the landing, allowing the aircraft to maintain a stable approach and touchdown. The total landing distance of 548 meters was 46% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop safely within a reasonable distance.
However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.3 meters from the centerline, suggesting that the pilot may have experienced some difficulty in maintaining a straight course during the rollout. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a good touchdown distance and speed, and a perfect runway touchdown alignment.
