Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,678 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,678 m of the 2,248 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 604 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, taking 7 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 03R, with a takeoff distance of 964 meters, which was 28% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 170 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 20°C temperature and winds of 18 knots at 9°. The crosswind was 8 knots, while the headwind was 16 knots. The enroute climb began approximately 1 mile southwest of Artemida, Attica, Greece, and involved a significant ascent from 1,314 feet above sea level to 33,062 feet above sea level, an increase of 31,748 feet in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 114 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 11 miles south of Kalandra, Central Macedonia, Greece. This phase lasted for 126 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 926 nautical miles. The enroute descent began overhead Nickenich, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, and involved a descent from 33,958 feet above sea level to 1,390 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,569 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 87 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 09 at Weeze Airport was made from the west, heading 92.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,279 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 2,248 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots. The touchdown point was 188 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 127 knots and a smooth touchdown rate of -104 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 14°C temperature and winds of 4 knots at 49°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,597 meters, which was 71% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 1,134 nautical miles, taking 179 minutes, and the aircraft used 7,580 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EDLV Weeze Airport, achieving a high score of 98.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 92.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,279 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 09, which has a length of 2,248 meters.
The landing was executed with good threshold height, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots. This minor deviation did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The touchdown point was 188 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 127 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -104 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, indicating a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments to the aircraft's alignment during future landings. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 14°C and a light wind of 4 knots at 49°. The crosswind and headwind components were minimal, at 3 knots each, which did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,597 meters was 71% of the runway length, which is a relatively efficient use of the available runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of precision and control, resulting in a score of 98.1%.
