MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 6,531 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 6,531 ft of the 9,850 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,665 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-800 taxied from the parking area to runway 28L at KSFO, a movement that lasted 11 minutes and covered approximately 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 28L, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 162 kt, using 5,308 ft of runway (48 % of the available length). Ambient conditions were 61 °F with a wind of 8 kt from 280°, including a 3 kt cross-wind component and an 8 kt head-wind.
Climb commenced over San Bruno, with the airplane ascending from 990 ft asl to 32,998 ft asl, a gain of 32,008 ft achieved in 20 minutes while covering 127 nm.
Cruise began 22 mi west of KHGT (Tusi Ahp, Hunter Liggett) and continued for 122 minutes, during which the flight covered 907 nm at level altitude.
Descent was initiated 34 mi north of MMLA (Rancho Las Cruz Airstrip, La Paz, Mexico), with the aircraft descending from 33,002 ft asl to 1,638 ft asl, a loss of 31,364 ft in 23 minutes over a distance of 129 nm.
The final approach to runway 34 at MMSD was conducted from the south, on a heading of 354.0° at 4 nm and 1,282 ft agl, preparing for touchdown.
Landing on runway 34, which is 9,850 ft long, was executed with a threshold speed of 144 kt. The aircraft touched down 1,337 ft beyond the touchdown zone at 137 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 43 fpm and excellent alignment; local temperature was 96 °F.
Runway rollout covered a total distance of 6,303 ft, representing 64 % of the runway, and the aircraft maintained perfect alignment throughout the deceleration phase.
After landing, the airplane taxied from the runway to the parking area in 4 minutes, traveling less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 1,171 nm, required 180 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 17,193 lb of fuel.
The Boeing 737-800 established a final approach to runway 34 at MMSD Aeropuerto Internacional de Los Cabos from the south, tracking a heading of 354.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,282 ft above ground level while the ambient temperature was 96 °F.
The threshold height was reported as good and the threshold speed was good at 144 kt.
Touchdown occurred 1,337 ft beyond the touchdown zone; the touchdown speed of 137 kt was good, the touchdown rate was perfect at minus 43 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The aircraft rolled out over a total landing distance of 6,303 ft, representing 64 % of the 9,850-ft runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
To improve the already strong 95.8 % score, aim to achieve touchdown within the designated zone to reduce the landing distance and further increase runway margin. Adjusting the flare to bring the aircraft down earlier will help place the touchdown point closer to the optimal location.
