MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,398 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,398 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 306 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna C172, then departed from runway 11 at NTTB Bora Bora Airport. The takeoff distance was 395 meters, which accounted for 26% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 68 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 16°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 8°. There was a slight crosswind of 1 knot, but no headwind. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile south east of NTTB Bora Bora Airport, Motu Mute, and ascended from 1,013 feet above sea level to 5,002 feet above sea level, an increase of 3,989 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 4 miles south east of BR02, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 7 miles south of BR02, and descended from 4,959 feet above sea level to 1,075 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,884 feet in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07 at NTTR Raiatea Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 84.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,069 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 07 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 305 meters, which was good. The touchdown speed was 48 knots, and the touchdown rate was -157 feet per minute, both of which were good. The runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 0 knots at 0°. There was no crosswind or headwind. The total landing distance was 524 meters, which accounted for 37% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 27 nautical miles, and the flight took 26 minutes. The aircraft used 9 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna C172 aircraft successfully landed at NTTR Raiatea Airport, achieving a score of 99.8%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 84.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,069 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on runway 07, which has a length of 1,398 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 54 knots. Despite this, the touchdown distance of 305 meters was considered good, and the touchdown speed of 48 knots was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate of -157 feet per minute (fpm) was also good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and no wind. This meant that there was no crosswind or headwind to contend with, making the landing even smoother. The total landing distance of 524 meters was 37% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well under control as it taxied down the runway after landing. Overall, the landing was considered a success, with the aircraft performing well in a variety of conditions. The high score of 99.8% reflects the pilot's skill and experience in navigating the aircraft safely and efficiently.
