Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,952 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,952 m of the 2,462 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 980 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving an 87.1% landing score! It's clear that you demonstrated skill and proficiency in many aspects of the landing process.
During the Approach Phase, you did an excellent job at maintaining a good glideslope alignment, which is crucial for a smooth touchdown. Additionally, even though your speed was slightly above target, it did not significantly impact your overall score.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, while your threshold height was above target, indicating some room for improvement, the very poor landing flare was likely the main factor contributing to this phase's lower score. Focusing on honing your technique in this area will help you achieve better results in future landings.
However, the Touchdown Phase showed promising performance, with a good touchdown rate and on-target speed. It's worth noting that the touchdown point being 568m beyond the touchdown zone is an area that could be refined to enhance your overall landing proficiency.
In the Rollout Phase, maintaining runway alignment is key, and while being 4.0m from the centerline is within an acceptable range, striving for greater precision in this aspect will further elevate your landing skills.
Overall, your performance shows a solid foundation with some areas that could benefit from additional focus and practice. Keep up the good work, continue to build on your strengths, and address the areas needing improvement to enhance your landing capabilities even further. With dedication and persistence, you have the potential to achieve even higher scores in the future. Good job!
