MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: off the runway's 3.5° glideslope.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,891 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 691 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 18 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an RJ100, then departed from runway 22L at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,019 meters, which accounted for 34% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 127 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 220 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 7 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, France, and climbed from an altitude of 1,034 feet above sea level to 30,678 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,644 feet, in 16 minutes and covering a distance of 53 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 4 miles east of Albenga, Italy, and lasted for 16 minutes, covering a distance of 161 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 1 mile north of Stenico, Italy, and descended from 30,925 feet above sea level to 9,535 feet above sea level, a decrease of 21,389 feet, in 15 minutes and covering a distance of 92 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead Rattenberg, Austria, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile south east of LOXI Schwaz Military Heliport, Austria, and descended from 9,114 feet above sea level to 2,838 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,277 feet, in 4 minutes and covering a distance of 12 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26 at Innsbruck Airport was made from the east, with a heading of 261.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 931 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 26, which had a length of 1,891 meters. The threshold height at 56 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, while the threshold speed was well above the target at 129 knots.
The touchdown point was 268 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 112 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -262 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.0 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -2 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 6 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a tailwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,388 meters, which accounted for 73% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 6 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 336 nautical miles, taking 70 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,632 kilograms of fuel.
The RJ100 aircraft successfully landed at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI) with a score of 90.6%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 261.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 931 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft was on a clear path to land on runway 26, which has a length of 1,891 meters.
Upon landing, the threshold height was slightly above the target, indicating that the aircraft touched down at a slightly higher altitude than desired. However, the threshold speed was well above the target at 129 knots, suggesting that the aircraft was traveling at a higher speed than necessary for a smooth landing. The touchdown point was 268 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight over-shooting of the intended landing spot.
The touchdown speed of 112 knots was a little fast, which could have contributed to the over-shooting of the touchdown zone. The touchdown rate of -262 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, indicating that the aircraft was able to slow down relatively quickly after touchdown. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.0 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -2°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 6°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 1 knot. Despite these conditions, the aircraft was able to land safely and maintain a relatively short landing distance of 1,388 meters, which is 73% of the runway length.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled descent after touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a score of 90.6%, despite some minor deviations from the target parameters.
