Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,800 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 279 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Kodiak 100 taxied to runway 26 at EGBP Cotswold Airport and commenced the take-off roll, using 633 m which represents 35 % of the available runway. Liftoff was achieved at 87 kt. Ambient conditions were 16 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, providing a 2 kt head-wind component and zero cross-wind.
Level cruise was initiated one mile west of EGBP and was maintained for three minutes, during which the aircraft covered five nautical miles.
For the arrival, the aircraft was configured for runway 08 at EGBP, whose length is 1 800 m. The threshold speed was recorded at 63 kt, slightly below the target. Touchdown occurred 277 m down the runway at 55 kt with a vertical speed of minus 124 fpm, and the aircraft aligned perfectly with the centreline. Weather at the time was 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, giving a 2 kt tail-wind component and no cross-wind.
The rollout continued smoothly, with the aircraft traveling a total landing distance of 522 m, equivalent to 29 % of the runway, and maintaining very good alignment throughout the deceleration phase.
In total, the flight covered six nautical miles, required five (units as provided) of time, and consumed 11 kg of fuel.
The approach was conducted in calm conditions with a temperature of 15 °C, a wind of 2 kt from 270°, no cross-wind and a 2 kt tailwind component. The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the speed at the threshold was a little below target at 63 kt.
During the threshold and flare phase the aircraft continued with the slightly low threshold speed of 63 kt, which was within a small margin of the expected value, and the flare was executed from the appropriate height.
Touchdown occurred 277 m down the runway at a speed of 55 kt, a rate of descent of minus 124 fpm and with perfect runway alignment.
Rollout covered a total of 522 m, representing 29 % of the 1 800 m runway, and the alignment during rollout was very good.
With a score of 98.7 % the landing was excellent; fine-tuning the threshold speed to match the target more closely will further optimise the landing distance and maintain the high standard.
