MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,599 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 587 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a fantastic aircraft landing score of 98.1%! Your performance during each phase of the landing process was exemplary and truly showcases your skill and expertise as a pilot.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, indicating a precise and calculated descent towards the runway. This is crucial for a smooth and safe landing. Your attention to detail and focus during this phase is commendable.
In the Landing Phase, your ability to maintain a good threshold height and execute a very good landing flare demonstrates your proficiency in handling the aircraft during the critical moments before touchdown. Your skill in smoothly bringing the aircraft down to the runway surface is highly impressive.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was smooth and your speed was right on target, further emphasizing your precision and control during this phase. Additionally, landing 152 meters beyond the touchdown zone and achieving a very good runway touchdown position is a clear indication of your ability to accurately judge distances and positions while landing.
In the Rollout Phase, while the runway alignment was slightly off (3.3 meters from the centerline), this minor deviation does not overshadow the overall excellence of your landing. With practice and attention to detail, you can further refine your alignment to ensure a perfect touchdown in future landings.
Overall, your exceptional performance in each phase of the landing process is truly commendable. Keep up the great work and continue honing your skills to maintain such high standards in all your future flights. Congratulations on a job well done!
