MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 447 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 35L at LTFM İstanbul Airport in Istanbul, Turkey. The takeoff distance was 2,464 meters, which accounted for 61% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 340 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 7 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 3 miles north of LTFM İstanbul Airport Arnavutköy, and climbed from an altitude of 1,016 feet above sea level to 36,913 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,897 feet, in 22 minutes and covering a distance of 136 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 41 miles north of Zonguldak, Turkey, and lasted for 33 minutes, covering a distance of 277 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 87 miles southwest of Tuapse, Russia, and descended from 36,916 feet above sea level to 1,952 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,964 feet, in 26 minutes and covering a distance of 146 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise was restarted 4 miles west of Krasnogvardeyskoye, Russia, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23L at URKK Krasnodar Pashkovsky International Airport was made from the north-east, heading 232.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,190 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 23L, which had a length of 2,984 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 134 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 448 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 131 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -247 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 15.1 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.2 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 2 knots at a direction of 20 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 937 meters, which accounted for 31% of the runway.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The total flight distance was 582 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 105 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 4,208 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at URKK Krasnodar Pashkovsky International Airport, with a score of 93.5%. The final approach to runway 23L was initiated from the north east, heading 232.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,190 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 134 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 131 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have contributed to a fair touchdown rate of -247 feet per minute. The touchdown distance of 448 meters was within acceptable limits.
Despite the satisfactory touchdown, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 15.1 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 12°C, a wind speed of 2 knots at 20°, and a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance of 937 meters was 31% of the runway length, which is within acceptable limits. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.2 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the same factors that contributed to the initial touchdown position misalignment.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and alignment. These issues can be addressed through further training and adjustments to the aircraft's handling characteristics.
