Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 6,807 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 954 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the PA28 Warrior II began with a departure from runway 10R at KMRY Monterey Peninsula Airport. The takeoff distance was 502 ft, which was 7% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 71 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 57°F with no wind.
After takeoff, the pilot entered a right-hand pattern from runway 10R at KMRY. The distance covered during the entry was less than 1 nm in 22 seconds. Following this, the pilot executed a right-hand pattern crosswind leg, covering less than 1 nm in 34 seconds.
The flight then proceeded to the pattern downwind turn, covering 2 nm at an angle of 66.9° to the runway in 98 seconds. This was followed by the pattern downwind leg, covering 2 nm in 98 seconds. The pattern base leg turn covered 2 nm at an angle of 56.6° to the runway in 51 seconds, followed by the pattern base leg covering 1 nm in 51 seconds.
The final approach to runway 10R at KMRY was from the west, heading 111.0° at 1 nm and 237 ft above ground level. The landing on runway 10R was smooth, with a good threshold height, speed, and alignment. The touchdown distance was 949 ft, with a touchdown speed of 55 knots and a perfect touchdown rate of 1 ft/m. The total landing distance was 1,734 ft, which was 25% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment after landing was perfect.
After landing, the pilot taxied to the parking area from the runway in less than 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 9 nm, taking 7 minutes to complete. 4 lbs of fuel were used during the flight. Overall, the flight was executed smoothly and successfully, with all parameters meeting or exceeding expectations.
Congratulations on achieving a fantastic aircraft landing score of 99.0%! Your performance during the approach phase was truly commendable, with excellent glideslope alignment and a threshold speed of 64 knots, showcasing your skills in precision and control.
Moving on to the landing phase, you displayed great proficiency with a good threshold height and a perfect landing flare. This undoubtedly contributed to the overall smoothness and success of the touchdown phase, where your touchdown rate of 1 ft/m and touchdown speed of 55 knots were both excellent.
Furthermore, the touchdown distance of 949 feet and the perfect runway touchdown alignment further demonstrate your expertise in executing a safe and efficient landing. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency throughout the landing process are truly impressive.
Overall, your performance on this flight reflects a high level of skill and proficiency in handling the aircraft during critical phases of flight. Keep up the great work and continue striving for excellence in all your future landings. Well done!
