MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,806 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 327 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 20 at LPPT Humberto Delgado Airport (Lisbon Portela Airport). The takeoff distance was 85 meters, which is 3% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 168 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at 130 degrees. The crosswind component was 2 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Alvalade in the Distrito de Lisboa, Portugal. The climb took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 85 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,368 feet above sea level to 38,069 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,701 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 4 miles northeast of Proenca-a-Nova in the Distrito de Castelo Branco, Portugal. This phase lasted for 106 minutes and covered a distance of 827 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb phase, this time starting overhead Limpach in the Canton d'Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. The climb took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 13 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 38,287 feet above sea level to 38,923 feet above sea level, an increase of 636 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Muensbach in Luxembourg. This phase lasted for 89 minutes and covered a distance of 739 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent phase, starting 23 miles west of Kihelkonna on the island of Saaremaa, Estonia. The descent took 22 minutes and covered a distance of 124 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 39,070 feet above sea level to 1,414 feet above sea level, a decrease of 37,656 feet.
The final approach to runway 08 at EETN Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 90 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,270 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 08, which has a length of 2,806 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 132 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 329 meters, and the touchdown speed was 127 knots, which was also good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -212 feet per minute.
The total landing distance was 1,353 meters, which is 48% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,799 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 254 minutes. The aircraft used 27,133 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at EETN Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The final approach to runway 08 was executed from the west, with the aircraft heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft's performance during the landing was impressive, with a score of 99.6%. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 132 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the approach.
The touchdown distance of 329 meters was good, indicating that the aircraft landed smoothly and within the expected parameters. The touchdown speed of 127 knots was also within the acceptable range, further demonstrating the pilot's skill in managing the aircraft's speed during the landing. However, the touchdown rate of -212 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have touched down slightly harder than desired.
Despite this minor issue, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 11°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 130°, were relatively calm, which likely contributed to the smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 1,353 meters was 48% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline as it rolled out after touchdown. Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures.
