MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,900 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 728 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Zürich Airport (LSZH), the Phenom 300E began its journey with a departure roll from runway 28. The aircraft accelerated to liftoff speed of 120 kt, achieving a takeoff distance of 668 m, which accounted for 27% of the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 19 °C, with a wind of 8 kt at 269°, resulting in a 1 kt crosswind and an 8 kt headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to cruising altitude, it passed overhead Rumlang, Switzerland, and began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 35,111 ft asl in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 70 nm. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, lasting 2 minutes and covering 14 nm, before initiating another climb phase 2 miles west of Obermaiselstein, Germany. The aircraft continued to climb, reaching an altitude of 40,992 ft asl in 2 minutes, covering 11 nm. The aircraft then entered a prolonged level cruise phase, lasting 32 minutes and covering 792 nm, before beginning its descent 15 miles north west of Kymi, Greece. The descent phase saw the aircraft decrease in altitude from 40,589 ft asl to 1,988 ft asl in 21 minutes, covering 126 nm.
The aircraft entered a final approach phase to runway 34 at Mykonos Island National Airport (LGMK), with a heading of 341.0° at 1 nm and 1,404 ft agl. However, a go-around was initiated at 879 ft agl. The aircraft subsequently landed on runway 34, with a touchdown point 308 m beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 107 kt was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown rate of -162 fpm was also good. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, despite a slightly misaligned runway rollout alignment. The total landing distance of 1,245 m accounted for 65% of the runway. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nm in 1 minute. The total flight distance was 1,044 nm, with a total flight time of 87 minutes and a fuel consumption of 1,336 kg.
The final approach to runway 34 at LGMK Mykonos Island National Airport from the south was executed with a heading of 341.0° at 1 nm and 1,404 ft above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a threshold height of 59 ft above ground level, slightly above the target. The threshold speed was good at 116 kt, indicating a well-controlled descent.
As the aircraft touched down, the touchdown point was 308 m beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 107 kt, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate of -162 fpm was also good, indicating a smooth and controlled touchdown. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft aligned with the centreline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 24 °C and a wind of 9 kt at 179°, contributed to a relatively straightforward landing.
The total landing distance of 1,245 m was 65% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 13.9 m from the centreline, which could be improved upon. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with a score of 78.7%.
