MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,561 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 637 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
A FWB EasyJet aircraft, which is a modified version of the A320neo, took off from runway 25 at EGGW London Luton Airport. The departure roll started and after a short distance of 812 meters, it reached the liftoff speed of 149 knots. The local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and a moderate wind blowing at 13 knots from a direction of 199 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind component of 11 knots and a headwind component of 8 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it passed overhead Luton, England. The enroute climb started from an altitude of 1,404 feet above sea level and reached 35,986 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 47 nautical miles. This rapid climb enabled the aircraft to reach its cruising altitude quickly and efficiently.
Once in level cruise, the aircraft started from a point 1 mile east of Haslemere in Surrey, England and flew for 63 minutes at a distance of 449 nautical miles. This long cruise phase was a chance for the passengers to relax and enjoy the flight.
However, as the aircraft approached its destination, it started its descent from an altitude of 36,855 feet above sea level. The descent phase began overhead Bonlieu-sur-Roubion in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France and ended at 4,510 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 110 nautical miles. The aircraft then leveled off again 4 miles southwest of Theoule-sur-Mer in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France for a short 2-minute cruise at a distance of 6 nautical miles. This was followed by a final descent phase to an altitude of 1,296 feet above sea level, covering 9 nautical miles in 4 minutes.
For the final approach, the aircraft flew towards runway 04L at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport from the southwest, at a heading of 45 degrees and at 4 nautical miles from the runway, at an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed safely on runway 04L and touched down 221 meters beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 117 knots and a touchdown rate of -239 feet per minute. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a light wind blowing at 1 knot from a direction of 98 degrees, resulting in essentially no crosswind or headwind component. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.7 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance covered was 1,137 meters, which is 44 percent of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot had successfully lined up the aircraft for takeoff. Taxiing to the parking from the runway took 2 minutes and covered a short distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 626 nautical miles and the flight duration was 104 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,040 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
A comprehensive analysis of the landing performed by aircraft FWB EasyJet (Dirty) at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport has been conducted, demonstrating a score of 92.3%.
Upon examination, it appears that the final approach to runway 04L from the south west was carried out at a heading of 45.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles (nm) from the airport and at an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level (agl). This suggests a relatively standard approach procedure, with the aircraft tracking towards the designated runway.
Upon landing on runway 04L, it is noted that the threshold height at 56 feet agl was slightly above the target, indicating a slightly higher than expected landing point. Conversely, the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 121 knots (kt), indicating a marginally lower-than-intended speed.
The touchdown point was located 221 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, suggesting that the aircraft had landed further down the runway than initially intended. However, the touchdown speed of 117 kt was reported to be good, demonstrating a proficient ability to control descent speed. The touchdown rate, at -239 feet per minute (fpm), was deemed fair, indicating some potential for improvement in terms of rate of descent management.
Additionally, it was noted that the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.7 meters from the centerline, potentially indicating some drift during the approach. However, the local weather conditions, comprising a temperature of 24 °C and winds of 1 kt at 98°, were found to be relatively favorable for landing.
In terms of overall performance, the aircraft's runway rollout alignment was reported to be very good, indicating proficient control and management of post-landing movement. Furthermore, the total landing distance was recorded at 1,137 meters, equating to approximately 44% of the runway length. This suggests that the aircraft landed relatively close to the threshold, given the runway length of 2,561 meters.
Overall, the landing demonstrated by aircraft FWB EasyJet (Dirty) at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport was proficient, with the aircraft exhibiting a good ability to control descent speed and roll out alignment post-landing.
