MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,986 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 610 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-MAX8, then departed from runway 21 at EDFH Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,611 meters, which is 50% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 166 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of -0°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 259°.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it started its enroute climb overhead Lautzenhausen, a town in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. The climb took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 133 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 2,687 feet above sea level to 39,427 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,740 feet.
After reaching its cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south west of Buggenhout, a town in the Flanders region of Belgium. This phase of the flight lasted 51 minutes and covered a distance of 381 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent 22 miles south east of Wexford, a town in the Leinster region of Ireland. The descent took 26 minutes and covered a distance of 129 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 38,620 feet above sea level to 1,619 feet above sea level, a decrease of 37,000 feet.
The final approach to runway 26 at EIKY Kerry Airport was made from the east, with a heading of 251.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,507 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 26, which has a length of 1,986 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed at 145 knots.
The touchdown point was 195 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 135 knots. However, the touchdown rate was good at -195 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 9°C, with a wind speed of 0 knots at 112°.
The total landing distance was 1,441 meters, which is 73% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the taxiing period from the runway to the parking took only 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 650 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 109 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,624 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-MAX8 aircraft successfully landed at EIKY Kerry Airport, achieving a score of 97.2%. The final approach to runway 26 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 251.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,507 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a slightly above-target threshold speed of 145 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 195 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. However, the touchdown speed of 135 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have needed to apply more braking force to bring the aircraft to a stop. The touchdown rate of -195 feet per minute (fpm) was good, indicating a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, which is a critical aspect of a safe landing. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 0 knots at 112°. There was no crosswind or headwind, which made the landing even more straightforward.
The total landing distance of 1,441 meters was 73% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was a success, with the pilot executing a smooth and controlled approach and touchdown. The minor deviations in touchdown speed and distance were not significant enough to impact the overall score, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop safely and efficiently.
