MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,891 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 377 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, taking 10 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 04R, with a takeoff distance of 1,253 meters, which is 42% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 151 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 18°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The enroute climb started overhead Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,021 feet above sea level to 31,554 feet, an increase of 30,533 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 92 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile south of Montoggio, Italy, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 65 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 32,006 feet above sea level to 15,010 feet, a decrease of 16,996 feet in 5 minutes, covering 74 nautical miles. This was followed by another enroute level cruise, which started 2 miles east of Sfruz, Italy, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 20 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its descent from 15,010 feet above sea level to 14,514 feet, a decrease of 497 feet in 2 minutes, covering 15 nautical miles. Another enroute level cruise started 3 miles northwest of Vipiteno, Italy, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 14,514 feet above sea level to 9,349 feet, a decrease of 5,165 feet in 5 minutes, covering 27 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile southeast of Radfeld, Austria, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 9,352 feet above sea level to 3,398 feet, a decrease of 5,954 feet in 7 minutes, covering 17 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 26 at Innsbruck Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 261.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,479 feet above ground level.
The landing took place on runway 26, which is 1,891 meters long. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 134 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 354 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 132 knots. The touchdown rate was very hard at -504 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 15°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°, with a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance was 984 meters, which is 52% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking 4 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 333 nautical miles, taking 58 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,953 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI) with a score of 96.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 261.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,479 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 26, which has a length of 1,891 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 134 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating that the pilot had control of the aircraft's speed during the final approach. The touchdown distance of 354 meters was also good, indicating that the pilot had managed to slow the aircraft down effectively before touching down.
However, there were a few areas for improvement. The touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly faster than the recommended speed, which may have contributed to a harder touchdown. The touchdown rate of -504 feet per minute (fpm) was very hard, indicating that the aircraft may have experienced a significant impact upon landing. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's alignment during the final approach.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and a headwind of 1 knot, which did not significantly affect the landing. The total landing distance of 984 meters was 52% of the runway length, which is within the acceptable range. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot had managed to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were a few areas for improvement. The pilot demonstrated good control of the aircraft's speed and altitude during the final approach, but may need to work on reducing the touchdown speed and improving the touchdown rate.
