MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 12,161 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,530 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 35L at LTFM İstanbul Airport. The takeoff distance was 3,237 feet, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 63°F and a wind speed of 3 knots at a direction of 70°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of LTFM İstanbul Airport Arnavutköy. The climb took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 129 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,395 feet above sea level to 40,036 feet above sea level, an increase of 38,641 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 7 miles west of Sungurlare, Bulgaria. This phase lasted for 76 minutes and covered a distance of 558 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting overhead Prace, Czech Republic. The descent took 25 minutes and covered a distance of 111 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 39,946 feet above sea level to 2,422 feet above sea level, a decrease of 37,524 feet.
The final approach to runway 24 at LKPR Václav Havel Airport Prague was made from the north east, with a heading of 245.0° at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 1,223 feet above ground level. However, the aircraft performed a go-around at an altitude of 0 feet above ground level. The aircraft then landed on runway 24, which had a length of 12,161 feet. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 134 knots. The touchdown point was 157 feet beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 131 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was smooth at -111 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 57°F and a wind speed of 9 knots at a direction of 290°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots. The total landing distance was 3,243 feet, which accounted for 27% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 814 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 144 minutes. The aircraft used 12,565 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LKPR Václav Havel Airport Prague, achieving a high score of 99.1%. The final approach to runway 24 was initiated from the north east, with a heading of 245.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,223 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 12,161 feet, with a good threshold height. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target, reaching 132 knots. This minor deviation from the target speed did not significantly impact the overall landing performance.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was 131 knots, which was a little fast. Nevertheless, the touchdown rate was smooth, with a descent rate of -111 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 57°F and a wind speed of 9 knots from a direction of 290°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was also 6 knots. These conditions did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The total landing distance was 3,243 feet, which accounted for 27% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the landing and rollout phases.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and handling characteristics.
