Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 300 ft gate: off the runway's 3° glideslope and off the centreline.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,011 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 460 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from OINJ Bishe Kola Air Base, the C408 SkyCourier Cargo initiated its takeoff roll on runway 09, covering 854 meters, or 78% of the runway, before lifting off at a speed of 109 knots. The local weather conditions at the time were characterized by a temperature of 6°C and a gentle headwind of 2 knots from a direction of 170°.
As the aircraft climbed out of OINJ Bishe Kola Air Base, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 11,973 feet above sea level in just 10 minutes, covering a distance of 26 nautical miles. The aircraft then transitioned into a level cruise, maintaining a steady altitude for 49 minutes as it traversed 20 miles west of Amol. A subsequent climb phase saw the aircraft ascend to 23,886 feet above sea level, after which it entered another level cruise phase, lasting 66 minutes and covering a significant distance of 540 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, reducing its altitude from 23,661 feet to 3,766 feet above sea level in 25 minutes, before entering a final level cruise phase near ORAU Ar Rutbah South Airport.
The C408 SkyCourier Cargo finally began its final approach to runway 24 at ORAU Ar Rutbah South Airport, touching down at a speed of 77 knots and a distance of 402 meters, or 13% of the runway. The aircraft's touchdown rate was firm at -363 feet per minute, and while the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned, the overall landing performance was satisfactory. The total flight distance was 677 nautical miles, and the aircraft consumed 1,319 kilograms of fuel during the flight, which lasted a total of 2 hours and 6 minutes.
The final approach to runway 24 at ORAU Ar Rutbah South Airport was initiated from the north east, heading 241.0° at 0 nm and 461 ft above ground level. The aircraft maintained a stable descent, with the threshold height at 96 ft agl being significantly above the target. However, the threshold speed was good at 89 kt, indicating a well-executed approach.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was good at 402 m, and the touchdown speed of 77 kt was also within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate was firm at -363 fpm, suggesting a controlled descent. Unfortunately, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.7 m from the centreline, which may have been due to crosswind or pilot error. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 16 °C and wind at 11 kt from 180°, may have contributed to the slight misalignment.
The aircraft continued to roll out on the runway, with a total landing distance of 579 m, accounting for 19% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 9.8 m from the centreline, which may have been a result of the initial touchdown position. Despite these minor deviations, the overall landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 78.0%.
