Improve the rollout
Ground control varies with speed, full authority at walking pace, progressively reducing as groundspeed rises. The aircraft becomes twitchy at any speed, every small pedal input swings the nose, which can encourage large-amplitude leg inputs that no real aircraft would accept.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,940 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 288 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320-ceo taxied from the parking area to runway 03 at EHBK Maastricht Aachen Airport in six minutes, covering approximately one nautical mile.
During the departure roll on runway 03, the aircraft used 1,102 m of runway, representing 44 % of the available length, and lifted off at 149 kt. Ambient conditions were 18 °C with a wind of 7 kt from 340°, including a 5 kt cross-wind component and a 4 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced over Beek, Limburg, with the airplane ascending from 1,305 ft asl to 16,003 ft asl, a gain of 14,698 ft achieved in six minutes while covering 30 nm.
Level cruise began over Grivegnee, Wallonia, and was maintained for three minutes, during which the aircraft travelled 19 nm.
Descent started over Zepperen, Flanders, with the flight descending from 16,017 ft asl to 1,480 ft asl, a loss of 14,537 ft in sixteen minutes and a distance of 67 nm.
The final approach to runway 01 at EBBR Brussels Airport involved a descent from 1,376 ft agl to 98 ft agl over 118 seconds, and the aircraft met the stabilisation gates criteria.
Landing on runway 01 was executed with a threshold speed of 123 kt. Touchdown occurred 287 m down the runway at 121 kt, with a firm touchdown rate of minus 375 fpm and very good alignment. The total landing distance was 928 m, equivalent to 32 % of the runway length.
Runway rollout alignment was measured at a slight deviation of 13.7 m from the centreline.
After landing, the aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in one minute, covering less than one nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered 123 nm, lasted 33 minutes, and consumed 1,233 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A320-ceo conducted a stabilised approach to runway 01 at Brussels Airport, with the stabilisation assessment recorded as stabilised at the 1 000 ft gate. Gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed were all within limits. The final descent covered a vertical interval from 1 376 ft AGL to 98 ft AGL in 118 seconds.
During the threshold and flare phase the aircraft presented a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 123 kt. Touchdown occurred 287 m down the runway, with a touchdown speed of 121 kt described as a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at minus 375 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
At touchdown the aircraft’s speed of 121 kt was noted as slightly above the ideal value, while the firm rate of minus 375 fpm and the 287 m touchdown point remained within acceptable limits. Alignment at the point of contact was very good.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 928 m, representing 32 % of the 2 940 m runway, and the aircraft finished the rollout slightly off centreline by 13.7 m.
To refine the already strong performance, a marginal reduction in touchdown speed through a slightly earlier flare would bring the speed closer to the target without compromising safety. Maintaining precise centreline tracking during the rollout will eliminate the small 13.7 m deviation observed.
