MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,638 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,638 m of the 2,586 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 439 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to runway 32R at KMWH Grant County International Airport in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 32R, the Airbus A320-ceo accelerated to a rotation speed of 163 kt and lifted off after a takeoff distance of 2,232 m, which represented 54 % of the runway; ambient temperature was 10 °C with a wind of 10 kt from 350°, a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 10 kt head-wind component.
The first en-route climb commenced 1 mile north of KMWH, climbing from 2,171 ft asl to 32,438 ft asl, an altitude gain of 30,267 ft achieved in 23 minutes while covering 157 nm.
A level cruise segment began 9 nm east of 3ID2 The Last Resort Airport, lasting 19 minutes and extending over 151 nm.
The second climb started 2 nm south of KDLN Dillon Airport, raising the aircraft from 32,784 ft asl to 33,494 ft asl, a gain of 710 ft in 39 minutes and traversing 315 nm.
Subsequent cruise activity originated 12 nm northwest of WY17 Ellis Ranch Airport, lasting 13 minutes and covering 107 nm.
A further climb was initiated 1 nm southeast of WY05 Skyview Airpark, increasing altitude from 33,678 ft asl to 35,600 ft asl, a rise of 1,923 ft in 3 minutes while flying 30 nm.
The next cruise phase began 16 nm southeast of WY19 Butler Airport, persisting for 95 minutes and spanning 816 nm.
Descent commenced 3 nm northeast of F87 Union Parish Farmerville, descending from 36,137 ft asl to 1,715 ft asl, a loss of 34,422 ft in 19 minutes and covering 116 nm.
On final approach to runway 16R at KJAN Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, the aircraft descended from 1,448 ft agl to 81 ft agl in 92 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 16R was executed with a threshold speed of 139 kt; touchdown occurred at 136 kt, 439 m down the runway, with a firm touchdown rate of minus 390 fpm and perfect alignment; local conditions were 17 °C, wind 5 kt from 199°, a 4 kt cross-wind and a 4 kt head-wind component.
The total landing distance recorded was 1,564 m, representing 60 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered 1,702 nm, took 222 (units as provided), and consumed 9,781 kg of fuel.
The CRJ900 aircraft successfully landed at KALW Walla Walla Regional Airport, achieving an overall score of 88.3%. The final approach was conducted from the southwest, heading 34.0° at 2 nautical miles and 1,599 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 02, which has a length of 1,986 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 124 knots. However, the touchdown distance was good at 57 meters, and the touchdown speed of 122 knots was also within acceptable limits. Unfortunately, the touchdown rate was quite heavy at -739 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slightly aggressive approach.
The runway touchdown position was not perfectly aligned with the centerline, being off by 14.5 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 25°C, a wind speed of 7 knots at 90°, and a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,121 meters, which is 56% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and stop within a reasonable distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned with the centerline by 12.9 meters, which may indicate some issues with the aircraft's directional control during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was satisfactory, but there are some areas for improvement, particularly with regards to the touchdown rate and runway alignment.
