Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,070 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 297 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Béziers-Vias Airport (LFMU), the Boeing 737-800 initiated its taxiing sequence from the parking area to the runway, a process that took approximately 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. Upon reaching runway 09, the aircraft began its departure roll, utilizing 68% of the available runway length to achieve liftoff at a speed of 153 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 12°C, with a gentle wind blowing at 8 knots from a direction of 329°, resulting in a 5-knot tailwind component.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it transitioned into an enroute climb phase, which commenced approximately 1 mile west of Vias. The climb profile saw the aircraft ascend from an initial altitude of 1,045 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 36,005 feet, a vertical gain of 34,960 feet over a distance of 123 nautical miles in 18 minutes. Following a 47-minute cruise phase, during which the aircraft maintained a steady altitude and covered a distance of 343 nautical miles, the enroute descent phase began approximately 2 miles northwest of Mers-les-Bains. The descent saw the aircraft lose 34,165 feet in altitude over a distance of 177 nautical miles in 36 minutes, ultimately descending to an altitude of 1,844 feet above sea level.
The final approach to runway 25 at London Luton Airport (EGGW) was initiated from the east, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 254.0° at an altitude of 1,322 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The landing was executed with a threshold speed slightly above the target value of 148 knots, resulting in a touchdown distance of 298 meters. The touchdown speed of 145 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -111 feet per minute was smooth. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. Following a taxiing sequence from the runway to the parking area that took approximately 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile, the aircraft completed its journey, having covered a total distance of 651 nautical miles and utilizing 4,297 kilograms of fuel over a total flight time of 113 minutes.
The Boeing 737-800 touched down on runway 25 at EGGW London Luton Airport with a smooth touchdown rate of -111 fpm, indicating a well-executed approach. The threshold height was good, allowing the aircraft to maintain a stable descent profile. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 148 kt, which may have been a result of the 13 kt headwind component.
As the aircraft made contact with the runway, the touchdown speed of 145 kt was a little fast, but the touchdown distance of 298 m was good, indicating a well-controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 10 °C and a 14 kt wind at 270 °, contributed to a relatively stable approach. The crosswind component of 4 kt was minimal, allowing the pilots to maintain a stable approach path.
The total landing distance of 1,274 m, which accounted for 61% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed well, with a score of 99.8% reflecting the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the pilots.
