Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 6,508 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 652 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 25 at the 83D Mackinac Co. airport. The aircraft, a Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, accelerated down the runway and lifted off at a speed of 79 kt, requiring a takeoff distance of 319 ft, which was 8% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 65 °F and a gentle wind of 5 kt blowing from a direction of 10 °.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the 83D Mackinac Co. St Ignace airport in Michigan, United States. The climb was initiated from an altitude of 1,075 ft above sea level and continued to an altitude of 1,535 ft, an increase of 460 ft, in just 1 minute. During this time, the aircraft covered a distance of 2 nm.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 6 minutes and covered a distance of 15 nm. This phase of the flight began 3 miles south of the 83D Mackinac Co. St Ignace airport.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its final approach to runway 14 at the KPLN Pellston Regional Airport of Emmet County Airport. The approach was made from the north-west, with the aircraft heading 136.0 ° at a distance of 3 nm from the runway threshold. At an altitude of 835 ft above ground level, the aircraft was in a good position to begin its descent.
The landing on runway 14 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 62 kt and a distance of 641 ft. The touchdown rate was also good, at -152 fpm. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline, by 11 ft. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were the same as at the time of departure, with a temperature of 65 °F and a gentle wind of 5 kt blowing from a direction of 10 °.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 20 nm and lasted for 9 minutes, consuming 14 lbs of fuel.
The Beechcraft A36 Bonanza successfully landed at KPLN Pellston Regional Airport of Emmet County Airport, achieving a score of 99.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 136.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 835 feet above ground level (agl).
The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the runway's length of 6,508 feet and the local weather conditions. The temperature was a moderate 65°F, with a gentle wind of 5 knots at 10°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 3 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilot maintained a steady threshold speed of 72 knots, which is a good indicator of a controlled approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 641 feet, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed of 62 knots was also satisfactory, and the rate of descent was a good -152 feet per minute (fpm). However, there was a slight deviation from the centerline, with the runway touchdown position being 11 feet off-center.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and touchdown phases. The slight deviation from the centerline was minor and did not affect the overall outcome of the landing.
